Administrators Pompeii Posted October 9, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 9, 2023 Geraldine F. “Gerry” Larkin, Age 87 of Falls Creek, PA died Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on September 24, 1936 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Fris) Olchesky. On January 22, 1955, she married her husband of 68 years, Leonard J. Larkin. He survives. Gerry retired after 24 years of service from the physical therapy department at the DuBois Regional Medical Center and had worked for the Intermediate Unit #6 as a teacher’s aide. She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek where she was very active in church affairs, and enjoyed card club with her friends. Above all, Gerry loved spending time with her family. Gerry is survived by 3 children, (Sandy Bearfield & her husband Bill of DuBois, PA; Karen Kemerer & her husband Keith of Falls Creek, PA; and Chris Damron & her husband Dave of Palmyra, PA),a sister, (Alice Skala & her husband Phil of Johnstown, PA), 14 grandchildren (Jeremy, Gabe, Justin, Josh, Julie, Brooke, Nick, Lindley, Alexis, Ryan, Garret, Alex, Brittney, and Zack), and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, (David Larkin), a brother, (Robert Olchesky) and two sisters, (Susan Strihan and Dorothy Schonvisky). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10 a.m. from St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church with Father Ben Daghir as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
