Administrators Pompeii Posted October 13, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 13, 2023 Gregory P. Armagost, age 67 of Rockton, PA, died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Christ The King Manor. Born on December 3, 1955 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ellene (Kougher) Armagost. He was a 1974 graduate of DuBois Area High School. On November 8, 1986 he married Brenda (Brink) Armagost. She survives and lives in Rockton. Greg retired from PennDot Clearfield County and had previously worked for Triangle Auto Springs, Jim Soliday Construction and DuBois Tool & Die. He was a lifetime member, having over 50 years of service with the Union Township Volunteer Fire Company where he served as Fire Chief for 13 years, a member of the Rockton Park Board, the Rockton Cemetery Association and the Rockton Water Authority. Greg was an avid golfer and hunter. He enjoyed bowling, playing softball, cooking and grilling. He loved spending time with family and friends. Greg is also survived by his son (Paul Armagost and his girlfriend Katie Gestiehr), two sisters (Karen Houk and her husband Harold “Bud” of Rochester, NY and Patricia Ketron of Excelsior Springs, MO), in laws (William and Sue Brink of Punxsutawney, PA) and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 1:30 – 4:30 PM and 5:30 – 8:00 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Robert Way officiating. Interment will take place in Rockton Cemetery. Although flowers are appreciated, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Union Township Volunteer Fire Company, 44 DuBois Rockton Road, Rockton, PA 15856.
