Administrators Pompeii Posted October 15, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 15, 2023 Stanley C. Georgek, Jr., age 89 of DuBois, PA, died Friday, October 13, 2023 at his home. Born on May 11, 1934 in Indiana, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley C. and Mildred (Cunko) Georgek, Sr. He was a 1952 graduate of Sykesville High School. Stanley was an Electrical Engineering graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. After graduation he pioneered the development of the hybrid micro-electronics technology for military and medical applications. On March 7, 1980 he married Connie D. (Keith) Georgek. She survives. Stanley was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and was very active with the Labor Day Polish Festival. He loved being outside doing lawn work, and gardening. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons, and spending time with family and friends. Stanley is also survived by his children (Stanley E. Georgek of Florissant, Colorado, Gregory D. Georgek (Jody) of Hornell, NY, Mark K. Georgek of Treasure Lake, PA, Deborah A. Boychuck (Brian) of Allentown, PA, Charlene M. Kosko (Dan) of Treasure Lake, PA, and Jeanette I. Crisafulli (Jason) Allegany, NY), fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jean Godak Georgek. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and/or Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc is in charge of arrangements.
