Administrators Pompeii Posted November 13, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 13, 2023 Joan W. Donovitch, age 94 of DuBois, PA died Friday, November 10, 2023 at Christ the King Manor. Born on August 16, 1929 in Nu Mine, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Notto) Passerella. She was married to John Donovitch. He preceded her in death in October of 1996. Joan was a homemaker and a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Debra Welsch and her husband Jerry of Hamburg, NY, and two grandchildren, Shannon and Michael Welsch. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Donovitch, and one sister, Virginia Novasel. There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel at Christ the King Manor with Msgr. Charles Kaza as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with Christ the King Manor, 1100 West Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
