Shirley A. Radaker, age 88 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.


Born on December 15, 1934 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Clara (Muffie) Federici.


On November 22, 1956 she married Glenn A. Radaker. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1977.


Shirley had retired from Shankel’s Pharmacy after 24 years of service.


She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Sons of Italy in DuBois where she had served as an officer, and was one of the founding members of the Friendship Hose Company #2 Ladies Auxiliary.


Shirley enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards with her grandchildren, and loved to dance. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and following her grandchildren’s many sporting events.


She is survived by her children (Deidre Schultz and her husband Bob of Columbus, OH, Richarda “Chard” Radaker of Brooklyn, NY, Gregg Radaker of Toledo, OH, Glenda Radaker Dixon and her longtime partner Brian Stoddard and Rodney Radaker and his wife Stephanie, both of DuBois, PA), three grandchildren Ryan, Rachel and Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.


Shirley was preceded in death by seven brothers (George, Rudy, Ted “Shad”, Burt, John, James “Babe” and Joseph Federici), four sisters (Viola Snyder, Antionette “Wootsie” Vinzani, Frances Sherkosky and Julia Suplizio).


Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 10 AM from Holy Spirit at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.


Burial will take place in St. Catherine Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be placed with Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
