Administrators Pompeii Posted February 15 Administrators Share Posted February 15 Mary V. Ivoska, age 95 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the DuBois Village. Born on September 23, 1928 in Stanley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bruno A. and Victoria (Kulbatsky) Lesky. On June 10, 1950 she married Frank V. “Polka Frank” Ivoska. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2001. Mary had worked at BF Goodrich, Rola Jensen, Jackson China and Brockway Glass. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and a former member of the Lithuanian Ladies Auxiliary, and the Knights of Lithuanian Council #86. She was also a member of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Polka Club. Mary is survived by her children (Mary Ann Misko and husband Ronald of Frisco, TX, Loretta Bigney and her husband Patrick of Vero Beach, FL, Frank Ivoska, Jr. of Lyons, CO, and Edward P. Ivoska and his wife Nanette of DuBois, PA), five grandchildren (Steve Songer, Renee Rusnak, Travis Snyder, Devin Snyder and Alex Ivoska), one great grandchild (Lucy Rusnak), and two sisters (Stella Freemer of Brockway, PA and Helen Betts of Harbor Creek, PA). She was preceded in death by four brothers (Joseph, Victor, Bernard, Jr., and Edward Lesky) and one sister (Jenny Kosko). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 10 AM from the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
