Administrators Pompeii Posted March 22 Administrators Share Posted March 22 James A. Bonante, Sr., age 90 of Punxsutawney, PA died Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his home. Born on July 14, 1933 in Sykesville, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Pompea Mary (Rubino) Bonante. On February 14, 1962 he married his wife of 62 years, Marian J. (Martin) Bonante. She survives. Along with his wife, James is survived by his children (James A. “Jim” Bonante II and Nancy A. Bonante-Fye and her husband Harold, both of Punxsutawney, PA), eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one sister (Lucy McGee of Erie, PA). He was preceded in death by three brothers (John, Frank and Arman Bonante) and one sister (Nancy Bonante). There will be no public visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
