Administrators Pompeii Posted June 14, 2024 Administrators Share Posted June 14, 2024 Jack E. Boydte, age 76 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at his home. Born on June 8, 1948 in Belleville, IL, he as the son of the late Willard Boydte and Kathleen (Bann) Boydte Tribout. On September 27, 1975 he married his wife of 49 years, Sherry F. (Frei) Boydte. She survives. Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam Era. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University. He retired as the owner/ operator of the Boydte Insurance Agency in Jupiter, FL after 37 years of service. Jack was Catholic by faith. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for 20 years. He enjoyed hiking, camping, loved outdoor cooking and was a reenactor. Jack was also a NASCAR fan and attended the Daytona 500 each of the last 30 years. Along with his wife, Jack is survived by one son (Matthew Boydte and his wife Kim of Pasedena, MD), one granddaughter (Mary Catherine "Molly" Boydte), three brothers (Willard, Steve and Rick Boydte), one step brother (Virgil A. Tribout, Jr. and his wife Adele of Old Fort, TN) and three sisters (Jackie Overbey, Ginny Boydte and April Lentz). He was preceded in death by one sister (Jane). There will be no public visitation, and services will be private. A Celebration of Life will be announced in the future. Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America- Bucktail Council, 209 1st Street, DuBois, PA 15801. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
