  1. John "Jason". Labosky , age 43, of East Long Avenue, DuBois, PA died on Monday, September 18, 2017 at his home.

    Born November 23, 1973 in Ypsilanti, MI he was the son of John J. Labosky, who survives and lives in Edina, MN and the late Ellen Kay (Finger) Overton.

    Graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.  His many friends will remember his love of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Football, and his love of fantasy sports leagues.

    He is survived by 5 siblings (Joseph E. Labosky of Minneapolis, MN and Andrew J. Labosky of Reno, NV Don Schwerdtfeger of DuBois and Daniel & Megan Labosky, both of Edina, MN) and grandmother (Jackie Finger formerly of DuBois).

    There will be no public visitation.

    There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 2-5 PM at the Gateway Café on Maple Avenue, DuBois.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    Memorials may be placed with the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 and /or the DuBois Ministerial Food Pantry, 404 Liberty Boulevard, DuBois, PA 15801.

  2. Anna Prosper, Age 88 of Green Glen Drive, DuBois, Pa died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

    Born on October 5, 1928 in DuBois, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Peter A. & Mary C. (Pitrone) Prosper, Sr.

    She retired as a secretary from Swift Kennedy Insurance in DuBois after many years of service.  Previous to that, she had worked for the General Adjustment Bureau. 

    She was a 1946 graduate of the DuBois Area High School.

    Anna was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church and a member of the former Professional Secretaries Club where she had received an award for the longest participation.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, and had an extensive cook book collection.  She had many of her own recipes published in many local and regional publications.  Anna was a beloved aunt to all of her nieces & nephews.

    She is survived by 2 brothers (Peter A. Prosper, Jr. of the Villages, FL, and Guy W. Prosper & his wife Margaret of Castle Hayne, NC) 5 nieces (Janice, Mary Ann, Lisa, Paula, & Sherri) and 3 nephews (Paul, Peter, & Guy)

    She was preceded in death by 2 sisters (Mary Mancini & Alberta Prosper), and a nephew, Dario Mancini.


    Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 9 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

    Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.

  3. Alvin R. Johnson, age 80, of Short Street, Falls Creek, PA died on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Highland View Healthcare Rehabilitation Center, Brockway, PA.

    Born on November 18, 1936 in Falls Creek PA he was the son of the late Gust C. and Iva M. (Thompson) Johnson.

    He was a painter at Darrel O'Donnell Painting for 32 years.

    He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Penn State football fan and was a member of the Gospel Center.

    He is survived by his niece Wanda Mikulec of Falls Creek, PA, who cared for him locally, as well as other nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings (Mary Renwick, LuRue O'Donnell, Levina Faust, Janet Klos and Gust "Kage" Johnson).

    Private funeral services were held on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

    Burial was in Taylor Cemetery..

    Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

  4. Bonnie Nadolsky, age 74, of West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.

    Born on February 25, 1943 in Lilly, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Vernita (McCool) Jewett.

    Bonnie retired from Standard Laboratories in Cresson after many years of service.

    She is survived by 2 daughters (Sheila Welsh & her husband Denny of Falls Creek, Pa, and Cyndi Hoover& her husband Jeffery of Cresson, Pa) a great granddaughter London, a sister (Carol George & her husband Jack of Altoona, Pa) and 3 nieces (Robin Novak & her husband Alan; Lisa Yarnish & her husband Terry, & Jackie McElheny & her husband Dale).

    She was preceded in death by her granddaughter (Sarah Lassak).

    There will be no public visitation.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc 

    Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Lilly, Pa.

    Memorials may be made to Hahne Cancer Center Radiation, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, Pa 15801.

  5. Pamela D. Correll, age 63, of Keystone Road, Brockport, PA died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

    On June 10,1978, she married Melvin B. Correll. He survives.

    She was a Family Consumer Science teacher for Ridgeway School District.

    She is survived by two sons (Adam Correll and his wife Laurel of Ridgway PA and Josh Correll and his wife Ree of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam); three sisters; one brother; three grandchildren (Bailey, Reegan and Riley Correll).

    She was preceded in death by one sister.

    There will be no public visitation.

    A celebration of life event will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 beginning at 1 pm at the family home at 731 Keystone Road in Brockport PA.

    Arrangements are being handled by the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

  6. Harvey F. Murray, Jr., age 90, of Lincoln Drive, DuBois, PA died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian.

    Born on August 12, 1927 in DuBois, PA he was the son of the late Harvey F. and Mildred (McDonald) Murray, Sr.

    He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp. after serving in World War II.

    On August 30, 1952, he married Genevieve (Marusiak) Murray. She survives.  They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

    Harv started his working career as a truck driver working for various local companies. He then purchased City Cab Service, and started City Car Service and City Car Rental.  In 1968, he established Murrays Ford Lincoln Mercury and Murrays Ford Truck.  He later began World of Auto Parts followed by Murrays Freightliner and Murrays Honda.  Harv won many industry awards including Pennsylvania Truck Dealer of the Year. The dealerships continue to be run by family today.

    He was Protestant by faith. He was an original member of the DuBois Jaycees and an intrical part in establishing the city swimming pool. He was a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post #17, the DuBois Rotary Club and a 32nd degree mason in the Garfield Lodge #559 Free & Accepted Masons and the Coudersport Consistory. He was an avid and skilled hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed hunting the most at the family farm and Laurel Ridge and fishing at First Fork and Spruce Creek, of which he was a member. He and Gen enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends and family. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family on special occasions and holidays. He enjoyed golfing with his Wednesday friends and gardening. 

    He is survived by four children (Harvey F. Murray, III, Michele J. Mahaffey, Glenda J. Hooten and her husband Jeff and Gregory B. Murray and his wife Annette) all of DuBois, PA; one brother Fred Murray and his wife Diane of DuBois, PA; five grandchildren (Shawn Murray and his wife Angie, Shane Murray and his wife Carrie, Brooke Feasel and her husband Charlie, Nicholas Hooten and his wife Katie and Taylor Rose Vincent); ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and also many nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by one granddaughter (Jeanette Hooten); three brothers (Keith, Dale and Homer Murray) and one sister (Bernice Dumbleton).

    Visitation will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2-5 PM & 6-8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 10 AM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Fr. Matias Quimno officiating. 

    Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

    Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the cemetery.

    Memorials may be made to Christ the King Manor, 1100 West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801 and/or Spina Bifida Association, 3000 Stonewood Drive, Suite 100, Wexford, Western PA 15090.

  7. Jean P. Faust , Age 94 of DuBois, PA, formerly of Royalton, PA, PA died Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

    Born on March 17, 1923 in Middletown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Ethel (Winchell) Zell.

    In 1946, she married Lloyd W. Faust.  He preceded her in death in 1975.

    Jean was a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Medical Corp. during World War II 

    She retired as a registered nurse from the Middletown Home after many years of service.

    She grew up in Kingston, NY and Middletown, PA.  She lived in Royalton, PA from 1946 until 2016.

    Jean was a member of the Royalton Emmanuel United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. She was kind, loving, & upbeat.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, birding, and going to Hill Island in the Susquehanna River driving her boat well into her 80's.  She logged more than 500 Miles walking on Volkesmarches.

    She is survived by 2 sons (Thomas Faust of Jim Thorpe, PA, and Robert Faust of White Haven, PA) a daughter (Susan Loskoski & her husband Edward of DuBois, PA) 4 grandchildren (Olivia Loskoski McMahon, Nick Loskoski, and Roberto & Sasha Faust) and 3 great grandchildren (Clay, Rona, & Flynn)

    She was preceded in death by sister (Joan Szysh)

    There will be no public visitation.

    A memorial service will be held on Friday September 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Royalton Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Middletown, PA with Pastor Amy Razor officiating.

    Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery.

    Memorials may be placed with the Middletown Public Library, 20 North Catherine St.; and/or Royalton Emmanuel United Methodist church, 500 Penn St., both in Middletown, PA 17057; and/or the DuBois Nursing Home, 211 South Main St., DuBois, PA 15801.

  8. Dorothy L. Kelichner, Age 86 of Main St., Stump Creek, PA died Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

    Born on May 25, 1931 in East Branch, PA she was the daughter of the late William H. & Mary V. (Frantz) Kramer.

    On December 21, 1948, she married Edward L. Kelichner.  He preceded her in death on February 2, 2002.

    Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Sykesville for 52 years.  She enjoyed gardening, playing "Up Words", going shopping, and eating at Burger King.

    She is survived by 5 daughters (Patty Roush & her husband Terry of Northeast, PA; Mary Kelichner, Debbie Dixon, Kathy Kelichner, & Phyllis Smeal & her husband Allen, all of Stump Creek, PA); 2 brothers (Clyde Kramer & his wife Marie of Stump Creek, PA, and Leonard Kramer of Punxsutawney, PA) 5 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters (Martha Zimmerman, Leota Kramer; Mary Frantz, & Luella Kelichner), and a brother (Eugene Kramer)

    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

    A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Kevin Beard officiating.

    Burial will follow in Lakelawn Memorial Park.

    Memorials may be placed with the Bible Fellowship Church, 6706 Chestnut Grove Highway, Luthersburg, Pa 15848.
