One weekend we went to see the Disney movie " Old Yeller" in 1957. It was about a family ,a youg boy and an old stray dog. Sunday afternoon showings had very long lines. We were lucky was able to get into 1st show. In the end Old Yeller died protecting the boys from a wild animal. When we came out of the movies my Aunt,Uncle and cousins were waiting in line to see the second show. My younger brother told them there was no sense in going in because Ol Yeller was dead.
that cracked me up!!!!! :ty:

We were told last fall that they were going to make a glass lookout on the edge of the bridge. Can't wait to see it. Might have to crawl on my hands and knee's out in it though .... think that would make my heart race seeing what is below me!!!

I don't do anything to my salvia, and it's right out in the open in my garden. I noticed nothing bothers it, but I don't even like to mess with it cause they smell like cat pi$$. :shok:

Looking at pics on the web, I think it is a 3-lobed rudbeckia. Hubby just told me he cut down all the plants up back, sorry.

I got a black eyed susan plant that comes back every year at the Valley Rainbow. It has many flowers on it, more of a bush type plant, self seeds. This year it was too wet and they didn't get any flowers. I will have to check up back in the weeds. The birds always deposit some seeds back there and we always find them growing in weird places. If I do find any I will send you some seeds.
-
depends, some people have luck with them coming back others don't. depends on where you plant them also. To me they are a disposable plant, so I consider them an annual.

I buy any gardening book that has to do with PA. I also buy the farmers Almanac every year and know whether it's a good year to plant things or not. It nailed it this year ... rain, rain, rain. So I didn't plant a garden or any flowers at all. Didn't even buy a hanging basket. I also have books on bulbs, perrenials, annuals, tree's, shrubs, and houseplants including bonsai tree's. You can never have too many books!!! At least thats what I tell the hubby
