  1. I want to get the Missing 411 series. Did you ever noitice on Amazon how so many books are cheap...BUT Bigfoot books aren't...lol In fact the Missing 411 books cost more on Amazon then they do from the authors website..lol
  2. BoBo and his crew aren't going to find one....they would lose thier big money maker if they do. Matt Moneymaker and his BFRO is funded by an (supposed) unnamed multi-millionaire (though some that worked with him previously at the BFRO know who it is and I saw the name mentioned before). If he would find one, his cash-cow is done and he has to get a real job. ATM he has been to school to become a lawyer but never passed the bar. He doesn't have science degrees at all from what I undestand. IMO (and many others) he actually had a good and upstanding site and organization going on, but he forfeited all integrity for a lame and poorly made relaity show.
  3. If anyone is going to bring in a body my money is on the Texas branch of BF researchers. They have a lot going on where they are working...actually in OK I think...and that is one of their aims..to produce a body.
  4. There's actualy a really cool video I like that wa staken by some outdoors shows doing a program on rafting or something like that. The guy filming was in a raft behind the one he was filming. It wasn't until a year or so after the footage was taken that they saw something stand up and walk away along the bank. Pretty cool...but I don't have time to go find it for you. I think it's on the BFRO website if you dig through their videos.
  5. Sorry...no go on this one. Rick Dyer is a known and self-admitted hoaxer in the BF world.
  6. DNA testing already with results? I thought DNA tests take weeks...so when did this supposedly happen? Wonder if this is the rumors that they really recovered a body from the Sierra Kills report. (he claims to have shot and killed two...) Need to go read at some sights and get some input.
  7. http://www.bigfootencounters.com/articles/sykesville.htm 1970's....
  8. It's that time of year when many who tetter on the edge go over. Glad he was found alive, because suicide is NEVER the answer.
  9. On December 9, 1965 an event occurred about 40 miles from Pittsburgh in a rural area of western Pennsylvania, that even now remains controversial for some, and mysterious to others. At the time many people saw a brilliant object moving across the sky. The news media focused on a young boy, who while playing outside, said he saw an object fall from the sky into some nearby woods. http://www.stangordon.info/kecksburg.htm
  10. http://www.examiner.com/article/brian-harnois-former-ghost-hunters-star-missing-after-facebook-suicide-post The paranormal community is rallying to support Brian and share prayers that he will be found safe. As of now, no word has been given as to whether he has been found, or if the report of his death is legitimate.
  11. I dunno..it's the fifth time the release date has been pushed back..I'm thinking it's a bust. last week was the "within ten days" that David Palisides (sp?) claimed was the time frame for the release (he is on board the project). The Oxford/Sykes study is due out before the end of the year..hopefully that one pans out.
  12. UGH.and now the rumor is that the rumors this morning were all false....lol Way back at the beginning of this thread I said a BF thead I was reading was at 311 pages...it's now up over 370. a good ten of them frm today...lol Any wonder I got next to nothing done on my day off. (and with Christmas how many days away....??? lol)
  13. Rumor this morning is that the paper flunked out of peer review. It's a no-go for publication in a US journal. I hear a Russian journal is reviewing it. (again..all read on the net, so who knows)
  14. Ketchum was on Good Morning america this morning. I missed it, but the video is on-line.
  15. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/technology/2012/11/bigfoot-sasquatch-they-live-or-maybe-not/ ABC news has picked up the story. Starting to hit main stream.....
  16. Dodgeman..I think you might have to rethink your assessment..and change the term to "ape-like". I've always figured they would be found to be some kind of primate, but ......I guess I don't know much...lol
  17. I think if you google it you'll find stories of the giant skelatons even found in PA...Bradofrd county and I know some down towards Pittsburgh too. Ohio had quite a few also. (and lots of other states) At the time the were found they were labeled as "giant Indians" but now researchers are thinking that they just looked human enough that no one thought they would be anything else and back then (late 1800's) they didn't have the technology and testing that we have now. I know for awhile there was a group trying to track down some of the remains to test them, but not sure if they were ever successful. They were figuring they were in the basement of some museum packed in boxes, or in someone's junk from great great uncle Henry's freak show that was popular back in the first part of the century at fairs and traveling road shows.
  18. He has a couple books out that I've hinted to Santa I want. (I thinki I'd better put that in writing for Santa or it's not going to happen...lol) Thnaks..I hadn't read that link, but knew of the wars going on with the dif. factions. I think the Texas group is in the "ape" camp, and the Oxford study I think is the Sykes one I mentioned earlier. Read up on Ape Canyon..I don't think I would shoot one...lol
  19. so in the future, if one gets hurt..do they go the the vet, or a medical doctor? lol (like they will just say okay you found us, we'll be part of society now..lol)
  20. If you applaud the dna study as PROOF then you are going to have to accept the dna showing human as fact...can't have it both ways...lol BUT it seems as though they are saying it is a mixture of primate and human. And a big unanswered question is if mommy dna came from a ancient human species (possible throw back from American Indians maybe?) what was daddy to give the unknown primate dna? what unknown primate was advanced enugh to be allowed into the realms of people to mate...was there a primate that was advanced enough to merge into the ancient human society (well..whatever type of society they had back then) and have any of THAT undocumented species survived and also be out there? Is that one of the reasons for the huge differance in some of the sizes and aggressiveness of some of the reports? (Florida a smaller version...aka skunkape, the 6-8 feet tall reports we get from this side of the country...and then the 10 foot reports that come out of the PNW and Canada..then there are the dogman reports from wisconson and Mchigan's UP of ones with more of a snout type face) I find it very interesting..if ya didn't notice. (though I don't care if they are ever PROVEN to be out there or not..in fact I vote we leave them alone) Texas has a group working on bringing in a body...if a body shows up, my money is on them producing it.
  21. some other thoughts...and more questions like yours here at this dna site. http://dna-explained.com/ Following five years of research, a team of scientists has sequenced several Sasquatch genomes. Results show that Bigfoot is a mixture between a human female, about 15,000 years ago, and a male, a previously unknown hominin related to Homo sapiens and other primate species. Wow. What a discovery! This begs several questions. Is all of the mitochondrial DNA the same, inferring a single maternal ancestor? They have sequenced 20 different mitochondrial samples. Given that the mitochondrial DNA is reportedly identical to that of modern humans, we can presume, one would think, that the mitochondrial DNA is Native American, so a member of haplogroup A, B, C, D or X. Hopefully the forthcoming paper will be more specific. The scientists fully sequenced three Bigfoot nuclear DNA samples and the results are stunning. The male is not a contemporary human and they have eliminated both Neanderthal and Denisovian males as possible founders. Dr. Melba Ketchum, one of the paper
  22. There were definately more than one lab used for the analysis. Five independents if I remember correctly, and this report is the result of their findings. I was looking for some links to some good info on the report, but I go to many differant sites (and no, not usually BFRO...lol) and the one site the thread on the Ketchum report just hit 311 pages as of this morning...so some stuff I read I am not going to redig out any time soon! Is this goign to be big? Could be...if all thelabs documented their research the righ way and she writes it up in the way it needs to be. Will the main stream big time media pick it up.....meh...maybe. Last week I read a story of a previously thought extinct whale being found dead on a beach...but didn't see it on tv or the big news channels...but on an internet site that I surf. You would THINK that a new species would make head lines, and maybe BF will with all the attention it's gotten lately..but with the fiscal cliff looming, Egypt being taken over by a fanatic dictator, Isreal reeady to go to war...who knows what will take precidence in the headlines. Hopefully, like I siad, it will at least make a few more scientists a little less sceptical and maybe get some acceptance instead of scorn and ridicule.
  23. I didn't even click the link to see what it said, as I follow all of it elsewhere. http://www.dnadiagnostics.com/staff.html Dr. Ketchum is the founder of DNA Diagnostics. Established in 1985, DNA Diagnostics has become a leader in all types of DNA testing including: human and animal forensics, human and animal paternity and parentage testing, disease diagnostics, trait tests, animal and human identity testing, species identification and sex determination. Most common species of animals are tested at DNA Diagnostics. Dr. Ketchum has also established a research program ranging from gene mapping to developing the VeriSNP
  24. Actually there's another big dna study/project in the works atm, and the chatter is the "leak" might have been on purpose to upstage the other one, being done by a guy named Sykes. Who Knows..and time will tell. There is just more going on in the study of BF than just people walking in the woods holloring and banging on trees..in fact, IMO the real proof will come in the lab and not in the woods.
