  1. A former co-worker's wife used to make this for us and we all loved it! She called it Lawnmower Salad and we all agreed it was the best! Similar to the broccoli salad, but also has cauliflower. Lawnmower Salad Chopped broccoli and cauliflower, diced mild cheddar cheese, diced large onion and bacon bits to measure 4 quarts. Add a little garlic powder and if you like a little cayenne pepper. Salad Dressing: Stir together until smooth: 1 C Miracle Whip (not mayo) 1 14oz can of sweetened consensed milk 1/4 C + 1/3 C of vinegar 1 T sugar 1 t salt Stir until smooth, mix the dressing with the salad at least one hour before serving. Enjoy! C=cup T=tablespoon t=teaspoon
  2. Yuck! No offense, but I just like a Rock Green Light w/a glass of ice, I'm a wuss!
  3. TWO minute fudge 1 - 18 oz jar of any brand honey roast peanut butter 1 container of cream cheese frosting (must be cream cheese flavoring-Betty Crocker, Duncan Heinz, etc.) Put both in a microwave safe bowl (don't bother to mix or stir) Microwave for exactly two minutes. While microwaving, spray an 11 x7 glass baking dish with Pam. After the two minutes, remove the bowl from microwave and mix thoroughly. Pour into baking dish, smooth, cover and refrigerate. Enjoy!
  4. Pumpkin Drops 1 C sugar 1 C pumpkin 1/2 C shortning 2 C flour 1 t baking powder 1 t baking soda 1 t cinnamon 1/4 t salt 1 C chocolate chips 1 T orange zest (optional) Heat oven to 375 degrees Mix sugar, pumpkin, shortning and orange zest. (I've made them with and without the orange zest, and they're great both ways) Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add the chocolate chips and mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned, 8 to 10minutes. Don't overbake. Frosting 3/4 stick of margarine 1 C brown sugar 3 to 4 t milk Mix together and stir over low heat until the brown sugar is totally dissolved. Cool a little, then add 1 C of powdered sugar and 1/2 t vanilla. Spread over warm cookies. Enjoy!! T=Tablespoon t=Teaspoon C=Cup
  5. Pasta Fagiole I can just tell you what I do, so here goes. Make sure that you have a nice ham bone w/lots of meat left on the bone. Use dried lima beans, I prefer the large limas. The night before you plan to have pasta fagiole, sort thru the beans and discard any bad ones. Then put them in a large pot and cover w/ 6-8 cups of cold water, cover and soak overnight. The next day, drain the beans, rinse well and drain again. Place the beans back into the large pot w/ the ham bone. Along with a large diced onion. Cook until the beans are tender. When tender, add ditalini or farfalle and cook until done. It's great this way or you can add a can of diced tomatoes. We love it either way. As far as proportions, if you use 1# of beans, use 1/2# of pasta, if you use 2# of beans, use 1# of pasta, and so on. Delicious!!! Sorry, I forgot to add that you take the ham off the bone and add into the pasta fagiole! Duh, I don't know what I was thinking! Sorry.
