  1. I used this twice now and it works great!!
  2. i made some of the diswasher detergent and I like to say I am very pleased with that too! This homemade stuff we are making is pretty neat, it works good and we are saving some money. This day and age you have to do whatever you can, it is harder and harder to make ends meet. even compared to last year! When my boys were babies, I use to make my own baby wipes, I don't remember what the ingredients are now, but I am sure it is posted on the net somewhere, I like them better than the store bpught ones. I will have to go back and loolkk up the glass cleaner recipe and try that one. Maybe we can start another forum for homemade cleaning recipes!
  3. I have been using it for about 4 days now and I am very pleased with it so far. I have noticed that my sons work clothes have always had a certain smell, ( I call it the smell of swamp water) and I have never been able to get the smell quite completely out, but since using this homemade soap, I have not noticed it. I just did some of the clothes he wore last night and they smell just like clothes, not swampy!!!
  4. We did too, can't wait to try it, probably tomorrow!
  5. ok I just spent 1/2 my morning running around getting the ingredients for this laundry soap. I had to go to wal mart so decided to get the stuff to make the homemade laundry soap They only had the Borax, so I got that ,it was $2.84 Decided I will check Shop N Save for the rest, they didn't have any of it! Went to Martins and they only had the Fels got that it was $1.56 Well I almost gave up then decided to go ahead and stop at Bi-Lo and they only had the A & H Washing soda!!! Good thing because that is all I needed. It was $2.95 And the price of gas running all over to find the stuff.................priceless!!! My hubby really wants to try this so I we are going to give it a shot. I will do the same experiment to see how many loads I get, and I am betting I will get more and it will be cheaper...............hey it doesn't hurt to try right!
  6. I did my own little test of laundry soap. On the container it says it does 64 loads, well guess what it does not. Granted it says it does 64 small loads, filled to line one on cap, well small loads are not part of our reality so I did to the large load line, which would be 32, well I got 28! so if I double that it is only 56! I was shortened 8 loads! and all of the soap says now it is 2x concentrated and you use 1/2 as much, Huh, I don't have 1/2 as much laundry. This lasted me three weeks, I have about 4 or 5 laods to do today and I have to go and get more detergent! Is this another way we are getting fooled to think we are getting something better and in reality it isn't any different than before. :-/
  7. Hot Sausage Pizza 1# Loose hot sausage chopped onion chopped peppers mushrooms pepperoni 2-3 small cans tomato paste approx 2 cans water In skillet fry the hot sausage, drain off grease, add to the sausage the rest of ingredients including tomato paste and water. Simmer in skillet for approx. 20 min. Using your favorite pozza crust top the crust with sauce mixture and then top that with mozzeralla cheese. Bake in 400 degree oven for about 12-15 min. or whenever the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Quick Pasta Shrimp Alfredo Penne Pasta cooked and drained (or your favorite pasta) 1-2 jars of favorite Alfredo sauce, I like Bertolli's 1 bag of ready to eat large shrimp 1 can mushrooms This is pretty quick once you have the pasta cooked, I thaw the shrimp, (run under cold water and take tails off) , add them in a saucepan with the Alfredo sauce and mushrooms. Sometimes if I happen to have any broccoli in the fridge I will steam that in microwave and toss in too. Once this is all heated up just toss over the pasta. I serve this with some good Italian bread. We never have any leftovers.
  9. Jalapeno Roll-ups Round tortillis Mix together 4oz. cream cheese 2 Tbl. sour cream chopped jalapeno's salt/pepper spread some of this on each roud tortilla roll up and cut into round slices abouts 1" wide dip in salsa if desired
  10. Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad................... I just guess at the measurements of this recipe it is something I just sorta put together, and tasted along the way and it turned out pretty good I thought. 2 boneless chicken breast cut-up, cooked completly Pasta noodles cooked and drained, I used penne pasta to this I added some chopped onion and celery, along with salt and pepper and the cooked chicken. Mix together: mayo about 1 cup blue cheese dressing 1 cup hot sauce approx. 1/3 -1/2 cup mix this together and add to the pasta chicken. You may have to adjust the dressing measurements to suit your tastes but this is the basic outline I used. I think it may taste great with ranch dressing also. I made this as a cold salad, but if you think about it it probably could be a hot dish too!!! Enjoy ;D
