  1. I read this book, I borrowed it from the library. He was comical on the radio, I remember my gram and great gram listening to him faithfully when I was young. Interresting book too. I still can here his voice on the radio... deja voo!!!

You know someone's work is good when you can call it up to hear again plain as day in your head years later. Good for you!

  2. This all reads like a soap opera. Is it the drama that keeps you interested? Everyone seems to have proof, but they can't reveal it now. How many years has this stuff been going on? Its like watching the old tv show dallas except everyone believes JR is a real texas oil man

....maybe someone HAS seen Bigfoot, but they are not talking, because they figure he wants his privacy.

  3. I happen to hit a clearance cart at my local store on Wednesday.  They had Irish spring body wash for 1.25.  I had 1.00 coupons so I got 2 for 25 cents each.  They also had soft soap body wash for 1.25. I had 75 cent coupons, which are doubled, so those were free.  There were medium sized bottles of Clorox for 1.20.  A doubled 20 cent coupon made this 80 cents!

Last week, they had chex mix for 1.00.  I had 50 and 60 cent coupons that were doubled.  I have 12 bags of chex mix that I got for free!

    I love coupons!!!!

    :-/

I have always been intimidated by them and thus avoid them because I suck at math!!!  I really should work at changing my ways as obviously there is huge benefits of savings in doing so.

  4. I foound one site  moneysavingmom   that has a lot of good info, & you can sign up for newsletter and they will show you different deals and the matching coupon that is available, and another one is the krazy coupon lady, she has lots of things too, you also can like both of these on fb if that is easier.  I got a good deal on Pepsi the other day,   a store had 6 pack of bottles for 4/10  had coupons for 2 off of 2 packs so I used 2 coupons taking 4 off of the 4 packs which made them 4 for 6 so i paid 1.50 a 6pack.   good deal since they usually run that for 1 2liter.

    Oh Lord!

I wouldn't have gotten that good deal on the Pepsi!! The telling of how to do so reminded me of those school word-problems (that thoroughly confused me) in math class that started like this: "If a train left Chicago at 6AM...........etc etc...."

  5. Calvary cemetary in Punxsy is reputed to be haunted. The Gatti family once owned a factory there and had a son who died in the Flu epidemic of 1918 at age 19. The father had his son's bust placed on the grave marker. Then in 1936 his daughter died at age 30. The grieving father had a life size statute made of her laying in a bed placed on her grave. According to legend after his daughters death he would visit the grave every night and kneel there weeping until his servant would guide him back to the car and take him home. This continued for several years until the father went out on a cold snowy night stayed at the grave brushing the falling snow from his daughter. When the servant finally got him to leave the chill had effected him and he became very ill that night and soon died. It is said that on cold clear nights if you stand by the grave you can hear the father weeping for his children. I have attached pictures of the site.

    :'(

  6. Wow. The PA state lunatic hospital. Just wow. The people who named this place and ran it, they actually considered themselves normal and worthwhile human beings? Why in Hell did so many people used to be so inhuman and stupid?? Thank God more intelligent beings prevailed allowing for evolving out of what used to be.

Even if not actual ghosts there, I am certain you could pick up bad vibes, negative sensations by the tons instantly upon entering.

  7. Around here the flower stalk usually comes up first and then the leaves. If mine get leaves first they never do flower.

Jetta, those are fantastic. Makes me want to move south.

And jer I'm really surprised that amarylis overwinter in PA. Are you fairly far south?

Used to live in southern-most part of PA, but been in this area awhile now. Mine probably are not amarylis, but looked kinda similar. It just regenerates every spring, fronds first then flowers.

  8. in brookville, the old phillip taylor house (which is now owned by a behavioral health agency) is said to be haunted.  my mother had experiences there while working there.

Any entities there now would then feed off the immense energy that is the byproduct of behavioral issues.....

    Awwww......

  10. hmm, this is cool people making their own soap and what-not. i do not think "going green" is a trendy buzz-word; its more like musing that, "all our ancestors who grew their own food, made their own soap, own herbal medicines, worked physically hard every day,etc etc--had it pretty much right to begin with."
