  10. I had some free time this afternoon and took a walk up to the Sabula tunnels and brought the pooch this time. I attached the link for the pics below. Lucy-dog was very, very timid and whining when entering the upper tunnel. She calmed a little by mid way through, but then became apprehensive again towards the very back end of the tunnel where the newer brick starts. In the lower tunnel, no problems at all until where the steel reinforcements are. She growled right around the same point that my hair stood on end and it turned ice cold. It went as fast as it came.
  11. And one of the more obvious and well know abandoned places in PA: Centralia http://www.offroaders.com/album/centralia/centralia.htm

  15. The upper tunnel was the site of a collapse at the back end in which numerous workers died. When inside you can see where the new brick starts. There was also a boss killed in one of the tunnels. The bottom tunnel is supposedly haunted by a couple of children as well as an Indian. My experiences in there was a young young child, maybe 2 as well as an little bit older male child, maybe 4 or 5? And again, just my experiences and what I picked up on when I was there, but I also felt an additional presence of evil in the lower tunnel. Perhaps this was the boss that was murdered, I do not know. But it is definitely felt when the sun starts to go down. I would go back to the upper closed up creepier tunnel before I head back to the lower open one. My hair stood on end. If Marine4 is around, he knows the stories of the tunnels.
  16. Wish I could have gone, Dodge! It's always such a fun time
  17. I tried EVP in the upper tunnel before as well as video recording. Did not pick anything up but also did not have alot of time, nor did we go during peak activity hours. Anyone up for an after 9 trip to try all of this out lol?
  18. YAY! Fabulous idea, Dodgeman!!!
  19. I hate when this thread is on top . Bridget I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Natie. He is beautiful.
  20. That's what I originally thought but I questioned if that was the church or not. Very cool. And I had heard and read that Tyler was a pretty booming town for the time, so it's cool to put a picture with the stories. The ovens picture gives me the creeps for some reason. Thanks for sharing!
  21. Oh wow, Marine, these are great! I am trying to get a perspective on the Penfield one, is that 153 looking towards the elementary school?
  22. I'll be making myself one of these tonight as I sit on the porch swing and watch the storms roll through ICE POP! 2 oz. Blue Raspberry Vodka
  23. I bagged the cajun seasoning last night and tried this recipe out instead on the trout. It turned out pretty darn good!! Grilled Rainbow Trout with Citrus and Cilantro 4 boned whole fresh trout (about 10 ounces each) 2 tablespoons olive oil salt and freshly ground black pepper 8 thin orange slices 8 thin lemon slices 8 thin lime slices 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro or parsley, plus sprigs for garnish Prepare a medium fire in a covered charcoal or gas grill. Oil the grill rack. Brush the trout inside and out with the olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Laying the trout open, overlap 1 each of the orange, lemon, and lime slices along one side. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon of the chopped cilantro, then fold the trout over to enclose the filling. Secure the opening with small skewers or wooden toothpicks. Grill the trout for 5 minutes. Use a wide spatula to turn it carefully. Grill 4 to 5 minutes longer, until just cooked through. Serve garnished with the remaining citrus slices and cilantro sprigs.
  24. Very cool picture! Thank you for sharing
  25. I'll have to try that. My bread machine is collecting dust at the moment lol
