  1. This tradition dates back to the Roman Empire. During and after the Vietnam war money was left as a "down payment for a beer or to play a game of cards" when reunited. A penny means someone visited grave, a nickel means that visitor was in book camp with deceased, a quarter means they were with this solider when he died. No idea a bout the bills.

  2. We had same problem. Went to appliance store ( did not buy at Lowes, Sears ect..) told to put 1/2 cup ammonia and Tide in it, run on hot water cycle and let door open for several hours after each use. Problem solved. They also said we could buy prepared machine cleaner but that was much more expensive

  3. Whiskey Slush from times gone by, have not had in years

     

    3 cups sugar

    14 cups water

    boil until dissolves sugar

    cool

    then add:

    24 oz frozen OJ

    24 oz frozen lemonade

    a fifth of whiskey

    mix and place in freeze

    serve with 7 up
