picksbughfan
I have done this for years when my kitchen drain gets sluggish.. sprinkle some baking soda in the drain next pour some vinegar down the drain this will bubble up, let that bubble a little and then run hot water into drain. This has never failed me yet. Once again, I use this when the drain starts to act sluggish, and if you do this on a regular basis, every couple of weeks, it should keep it nice and clear. dhfini
I do this quite often in my kitchen when the sink starts getting smelly. Works wonders.

Guest steelergirl
I also have a drain deodorizing tip- Heard it on one of the many 'going green' segments on tv shows: Pour some tomato soup down the drain, let sit for a while, then rinse away. Works great as a deodorizer. I am sure the baking soda and vinegar is cheaper, but i use this for my REALLY stinky drains to my septic in my basement and it really seams to help!
