Administrators Pompeii Posted October 30, 2023 Administrators Share Posted October 30, 2023 I spent a few days at our “cabin” in Mifflin County last week, getting it ready for winter and, of course, spending some time with the birds. I'm still processing some of the photos I got, but here's one that is my favorite. I was in the kitchen. I often shoot (with my camera, I hasten to mention) through the kitchen window when at the cabin, which is about 60 feet from a patch of woods, quite thick with hemlocks, oaks and poplars. I was standing in the kitchen with my camera when this blue jay shot out from under some hemlock branches, right up to the window sill, scolding the daylights out of me. It wasn't happy.
