Affirmative action???

DEI-----diversity, equity and inclusion

What is the difference????

Affirmative action,----------easy to understand words------  people who are not qualified will be chosen over those that are qualified just because of the color of their skin or their gender.

Affirmative action, in the United States, an active effort to improve employment or educational opportunities for members of minority groups and for women. Affirmative action began as a government remedy to the effects of long-standing discrimination against such groups and has consisted of policies, programs, and procedures that give limited preferences to minorities and women in job hiring, admission to institutions of higher education, the awarding of government contracts, and other social benefits. The typical criteria for affirmative action are race, disability, gender, ethnic origin, and age.

Affirmative action was initiated by the administration of President Lyndon Johnson (1963–69) in order to improve opportunities for African Americans while civil rights legislation was dismantling the legal basis for discrimination. The federal government began to institute affirmative action policies under the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 and an executive order in 1965. Businesses receiving federal funds were prohibited from using aptitude tests and other criteria that tended to discriminate against African Americans. Affirmative action programs were monitored by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Subsequently, affirmative action was broadened to cover women and Native Americans, Hispanics, and other minorities and was extended to colleges and universities and state and federal agencies.

By the late 1970s the use of racial quotas and minority set-asides led to court challenges of affirmative action as a form of “reverse discrimination.” The first major challenge was Regents of the University of California v. Bakke (1978), in which the U.S. Supreme Court ruled (5–4) that quotas may not be used to reserve places for minority applicants if white applicants are denied a chance to compete for those places. Although the court outlawed quota programs, it allowed colleges to use race as a factor in making admissions decisions. Two years later a fragmented court upheld a 1977 federal law requiring that 10 percent of funds for public works be allotted to qualified minority contractors.

Opposition to affirmative action in California culminated in the passage in 1996 of the California Civil Rights Initiative (Proposition 209), which prohibited all government agencies and institutions from giving preferential treatment to individuals on the basis of their race or sex. The Supreme Court effectively upheld the constitutionality of Proposition 209 in November 1997 by refusing to hear a challenge to its enforcement. Legislation similar to Proposition 209 was subsequently proposed in other states and was passed in Washington in 1998

Affirmative action was initiated by the administration of President Lyndon Johnson

Most likely the most racist president ever elected.

So for 60 years hard working smart people were denied their chance at prosperity by their voted for government.

And then came the new liberal way of screwing people because of the color of their skin or their gender (plus many other reasons now)

It's called---------->DEI-----diversity, equity and inclusion

Once again the Liberals has came up with different words for their same ole bullsh1t.

What is DEI?

“Diversity” refers to the representation of people from a variety of backgrounds – particularly referring to people of different races, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities, religions and more – at all levels in an organization, including the leadership level.

“Equity” focuses on fairness and justice, particularly referring to compensation and whether people are being paid or treated fairly, DEI experts told ABC News.

“Inclusion” is about whether people feel like they belong, and whether they feel heard or valued in an organization, experts say.

Once again-----easy to understand words------  people who are not qualified will be chosen over those that are qualified just because of the color of their skin or their gender.

The same bullsh1t as the liberal's last try at screwing people. But this time they added enough words to make it impossible for the Supreme Court to stop their attack.  (just like their move to resell their lies by changing Manmade Globel Warming to climate change for the stupid who does  not understand that their climate changes every second).

What is it gonna take people????      How much longer are you willing to be used by one group of people controlling your lives? What is it gonna take to make you stand up against the bullsh1t?  Your name on your headstone right after you have come to your senses?

I could spend hours posting actual facts explaining why your voted for government should never pass laws or endorse any action that eliminates any persons right to succeed as a human being.

Think------- Your voted for government came up with affirmative action a life time ago, for a lot of people, and it obviously did not work because it could not work. So why do you think their new plan will work???

Can you just imagine if those that supports DEI would enforce their wants for the white players???

Share of NBA players 2010-2023, by ethnicity

Published by Statista Research Department, Oct 9, 2023
The National Basketball Association has one of the highest percentages of African American players from the big four professional sports leagues in North America. In 2023, approximately 70.4 percent of NBA players were African American. Meanwhile, ethnically white players constituted a 17.5 percent share of all NBA players that year. After the WNBA and NBA, the National Football League had the largest share of African Americans in a professional sports league in North America.

How do other roles in the NBA compare?

When it comes to African American representation in the NBA, no other role in the NBA is as well represented by African Americans as players. Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the scale, less than five percent of team governors in the NBA were African American in 2023. During the 2022/23 season, the role with the second-highest share of African Americans was head coach, with a share of 50 percent. That season, the number of African American head coaches in the NBA exceeded the number of white head coaches for the first time.

African Americans in the NFL

In 2022, the greatest share of players by ethnicity in the NFL were African American, with more than half of all NFL players falling within this group. The representation of African Americans in American Football extended beyond the playing field, with 36.3 percent of NFL assistant coaches being African American in 2022 as well. However, positions such as vice presidents and head coaches were less representative of the African American population, as less than 10 percent of the individuals fulfilling these roles in 2022 were African American.

How many "white" people do you know that is disrupting your life ?
