Looks like it is finally (after years and years of hype) going to be published on Friday, 2/15.  (happy Valentine's Day Dodgeman..lol)  Though it looks like she has self-published.

New Research Paper Published Friday Shows Homo Sapiens/Unknown Hominin Hybrid Species Extant in North America

DALLAS, February 10th

A team of scientists will publish their five-year long study of DNA samples from a novel hominin species, commonly known as

Back around June last year her paper was rejected. Not sure if the one she has now is a different one on reworked science.  Another thing is she has been promising this research for 5 years now. Back in November last year they released this same info about DNA evidence. We will see if she releases anything this time and I wonder if this article went through peer review like the last one did but since you said self-published I am guessing it is her old paper that was rejected. It could be she running out of money and she hopes this will bring in new revenue for her from some other sucker.

The Ketchum paper has been rejected by peer review journals in the U.S. Before we give you the details, here's a statement from Steven Streufert of Coalition for Reason, Science, Sanity in Bigfoot Research:

It is official, then: The Ketchum paper was REJECTED and FAILED PEER REVIEW.

No conspiracy theory can change what this means: their science is NOT sound. It failed.

DNA Samples

For example, the samples which the test results were based on are being met with skepticism.

It'll be nice just to finally see the whole report and have people that undertand it pick it apart.

Many rumors and guesses going around the web.

Samples are from may sites from what I understand, including the supposed Sierra kills and Eriskson's project in KY.  (they are claiming 34 sites for samples)

Time will tell.  Again..i stay calm and wait to see where it all leads.  (or doesn't lead)

Hope they have the high-def videos they claimed, and also the awesome pictures.  I haven't heard or read anything about those coming out on Friday though, so we shall see.

Here's another article...thought it would pull it all over in case this site crashes.  haven't tried the bigfootform site to see if it's back up today.

A team of eleven scientists with expertise in genetics, forensics, pathology, biochemistry, and biophysics has sequenced three whole nuclear genomes from a novel, contemporary species of hominin in North America. The study,

There will be more information tomorrow on the Genome website we will be launching. it will discuss delays and peer review.

from her FB page...so we'll see what her explainations are...hopefully.

Gator here is why it took so long, the scientific community wanted tons more testing to prove a new species than other animals.

Melba Ketchum

To get an idea of bias, the Lesula monkey paper in PLOS One used 6800 bases of DNA sequence to prove it was a new primate. We have aligned 2.7 million bases of nuclear DNA on two of the three Sasquatch genomes in this first manuscript and generated a phylogenetic tree to prove it. We also had 20 whole mitochondrial genomes at 16,500 bases each. That same publication wouldn't even send ours out for peer review.

I'm hoping the science is good and can hold up to standards.   I'm not paying for the article because i assume I woulnd't understand it anyway.  (guess I should've paid attention in science class years ago..lol)

I'll wait and catch the discussion on it in the weeks to come.

I think a lot of the screaming and nay-saying will come from the ones who figured it would all be posted on-line for free.  I don't think they ever throught they would have to pay to see her research, even though the cost to fo a five year dna study has to be..what?  I can't even imagine.  (couple hundred thousand?)

there it is...her report...(in HER journal)  ready to read.  One slight catch...ya gotta pay to view it.  Ah...never mind.  lol

I thought money might be involved.

Although I went to the site and there is a line through you must have to register to the site first.

Sorry Dodgeman with some of her associates I am putting this lady  right next to  Rick Dyer hopefully her work is sound but time will tell. Let's say her work is accurate and Dyer account is true also that he shot one. Being that the creature is part human according to Ketchum should he be tried for murder then? Just a thought.

Wow..BF sites all over thenet are crashing.

I'm in a Bf chat room on one site atm and it's really intersting watching sciency people discuss this. These are ones who paid to read the dna study.

they claim the science is sound and it's truely amazing.  IF the science world will get on board, it will rock the boat on what is believed.  They are claiming even if someone tries to use this report to debunk it all it will only prove it more because dna can't be faked, and hers is solid.  wow

I shot what i thought was a bear on rockton mtn last year. turns out it was bigfoot. When i dressed it i realized it had swallowed a man, whole. I took some pics, along with the guys wallet, buried it and moved on.

What have you been smoking tonight?  ??)

Here's an opinion that makes me go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

I think a lot of the commentary is missing the larger point of what is going on here and I personally believe this should be picked up by larger news sources. However this turns out, it is a big deal.

It is obvious to state that if this scientific paper is legitimate (and I am definitely not saying it is) then we have a discovery that will rock science to its core.

If this paper turns out to be a hoax by failures to properly analyze DNA evidence then there is an enormous issue with the eleven scientists who put their name on this paper. These are forensic scientists who have had their findings in DNA used in criminal cases. These DNA labs (especially for the ones in Texas) have put people to death through their findings. If you can firmly state that these scientists published false data through pure incompetence what does that ask of our judicial system which considers DNA evidence the nonpareil? What other mistakes or sloppy science are they producing?

If this paper turns out to be a deliberate hoax then the issue becomes an enormous credibility of character conundrum. If these forensic labs are willing to falsify evidence for the sake of profit then what else have they falsified? This would bring into question every verdict that has utilized evidence from these respective labs.

I would just keep this in mind as this unfolds. If the mentality is simply

As I said yesterday I was in  chat room with people that seemed to be knowledgable about dna (from the conversation I witnessed) and had all paid to see the study, and they all agreed that the science and data were rock solid.

They all agree that they way it ended up released was hookie, but it was to the point of releasing it herself or just letting it go because many places wouldn't even read it let alone peer review it.   People were screaming for her just to post it in FB or her own site or release it as "whte paper" (I take it that means just throw it out there with out a journal and peer review to back it up) because they had waited so long and just wanted to see the results and hear from the people involved who would then (now) have their NDAs lifted.

And IF ketchum is a crackpot they should review her work that was done/for the 9-11 tragedy.

I think this will be the start of other dna tests what will get better attention and more credit in the future.
