CENTREVILLE — A 32-year-old Sherman Township man will effectively spend the rest of his life in prison for producing and disseminating child pornography. St. Joseph County Circuit Judge Paul Stutesman sentenced Clayton Warren, of rural Sturgis, to 31-70 years after Warren pleaded no contest to first degree criminal sexual conduct. Warren videoetaped himself sexually assaulting a 10-year-old child from November 2021 to April 2022, when he was arrested.

He would reportedly tell these girls to engage in sexually explicit conduct and to take photos and videos to send to him.

WILSON COUNTY – A Lebanon man has been indicted following a TBI investigation into child sexual abuse material. During the investigation, agents determined the images were being traded online and identified the user as Wendell Jay Silcox.

NEW YORK  — Two men pleaded guilty to raping and sex trafficking three underage girls in Queens last year, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Wednesday. Lawrence Winslow, 28, and Alan Velvett, 29, each pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a child and rape for forcing their victims into prostitution in February 2021. The girls were rescued after an undercover police officer responded to the online ad and met with one of the girls at a hotel room.

▫️43-year-old teacher assaulted 10 students at school
HILTON, N.Y. - A music teacher accused of sexually assaulting at least 10 students at a California school was arrested, police said. On Nov. 7, San Jose police were called to the Adelante Dual Language Academy to investigate a teacher reportedly having “inappropriate contact with several minors at the school,” according to a Nov. 22 news release from the San Jose Police Department. Israel Santiago, a music teacher at the school in San Jose, is accused of sexually assaulting at least 10 students in the band room, according to the release. He was arrested Nov. 21.
Detectives believe there could be more victims, police said. If anyone has information about the incidents, San Jose police ask them to call 408-537-1381.

Investigators with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force got a tip in October about a 16-year-old girl that was being trafficked. Investigation revealed that a 38-year-old Comstock Park man befriended a 16-year-old Grand Rapids teen “in a public area,” according to deputies. They said she was then trafficked using online posts. The 38-year-old was arrested on charges of sexually abusive activity, human trafficking, possession of child abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.

FRESNO, Calif. — A federal grand jury returned a five-count indictment on Thursday against Jacob Jacobsen, 27, of Modesto, charging him with four counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of receipt of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert announced. According to court documents, Jacobsen came to the attention of law enforcement in Memphis, Tennessee, when the mother of a 13-year-old girl reported that Jacobsen had been communicating with her through Snapchat, requesting sexually explicit content. Investigators with the Memphis Police Department and the Memphis FBI Office executed numerous search warrants and discovered that Jacobsen had been in contact with as many as 175 victims while using the Snapchat screen names “trippinj” and “treydawgg2000".
