Petee
Apparently you can contact the forestry service in your area and volunteer for quite a few things although you need to be trained for a lot of them. Give them a call to see what is available. I've just finished my hours of community service work for the Jefferson County Master Gardener program and I've loved almost every minute of it. They will be having another class at some time and it does require a small investment of money plus quite a bit of time. It was all well spent. Those who need a new hobby need to try out some of these programs and make the community and nature better for it.
