lavender
I've been reading about the worst plants that a gardener can put in his yard. One of the landscape experts uses NUTS for his criteria: noxious, unstable, troublesome and/or spreading. It seems to depend on they area so I was just wondering what gardeners in our area or nearby find to be the terrors of the vegetative world. I've voting for ash leafed spirea (Sorbaria sorbifolia). It was ok for a couple of years but keeping it under control is next to impossible. It spreads like crazy and digging up the runners is a very temporary solution. It gets wild if not cut back severely. It is way too much work although a pretty plant with both fluffy white flowers and ferny leaves.
