I've got 3 new shoots coming up from the canna lilies...is this normal this time of year?

I bought the toad lily at lowes. The ones I bought that were just roots never came up, so I cheated ;D

1 of the canna lillies that I bought bloomed!!! The Toad Lily I bought is full of buds and blooms!!

I also want to know if I can just leave mine in the container since I move it to the basement when it gets cold.

I was there at 12:30, they had 2 more of the pots, and 3 more of the canna's....I didn't feel right buying All of them...lol.

4 Futurity Rose Canna's at $1.00 each ...they get 2 feet tall 2 very large containers of dalia's $1.00 each a $30 pot on wheels for $10 How did I do?????

I bought 4 today at Lowes for $1.00 each. Also got 2 of the huge pots of the dalia's for the same price.

I would put them in your garage or basement. I really don't think they will make it if you leave them in the pots. I lost some lily's this year, because I left them in pots over the winter outside. Anything I have in pots, I put them in the basement, water well , then leave them alone. I have tropical rose of sharons that turned a light yellow, but as soon as I could get them outside The Plants Doubled in size. I also bring in my angels trumpet.

Yes it is. Guess I will have to buy some next year now that I know that they will grow here. I can see hubby rolling his eyes already. Always telling me I have tooo many plants now,,,hehehe

will moth balls keep all critters out of the garden? and what do you put them in? pie plate, dish, something like that?
