  1. I am also a chevy man. If it is any consolation his 2014 probably can be sold for not much less than what he paid for it back then from the prices I have seen in the used car lots.
  2. yep used truck prices are holding their value as well. I bet if gasoline went up another $1 prices would fall rapidly as no one would be buying except people who needed them for work etc. I may break down and get a new 3/4 ton. I really like my truck but it is only a half ton and I need something just a bit bigger to haul with. I have looked at and gotten prices of used ones and they are 30 to 35k and they are three years old. I may as well buy a new one and get a good warranty and keep it till I die
  3. Has anyone seen the price of new and used trucks lately. Wow When I see prices of 45,000 on new ones and that's one of the middle of the road ones I think wow. Used truck prices for something with over 100,000 miles on it for 20,000 thats 7 years old and 3 year old ones for 35,000 well thats just to darn much. I make good money but I wont throw it away. Looks like I may just do a complete resto on mine and save between 15,000 and 40,000.
  4. hehe I neither have the time or ambition for this. I am seriously considering raised beds. I may make some forms and just make them out of concrete but like most of my other ideas they just gather dust in the back of my head
  5. I just drag and drop them onto the message box. It is so much easier than the old way of searching and uploading. Now I just have my file folder open the one containing the pics I shrunk to size and just left click and hold and then drag them across the screen and drop(take my finger off the left button.). I also use this site to bulk shrink them and do the same thing I just drag on drop them onto the websites box and them just click save zip. The nice thing about this site it shrinks to the same needed automatically. The size is on the right of the screen and you can change it but I dont and they come out great as you see. http://birme.net/ On my computer I just put in the SD card out of my camera into the slot on the front of my computer and it does everything automatically for the most part. It uploads them from the SD card onto the computer. Now you have to know where they are going to in order to find them again. When I find the ones I downloaded after shrinking them I just make a new folder in my pics folder and name it something I will remember. I copy them all and just paste them in that new folder. I only do this for posting on this site since I have tons of pics and need to just upload the ones I just shrunk and if I need to upload later I have them by themselves.
  6. Cabbage is doing great. I love the purple ones. My wife said she is going to cook them and make me eat it since I planted it. I don't like cabbage. Except for pigs in a blanket. I just like planting different stuff and seeing how it does. My wife is planning on making sauerkraut with the other ones. Cauliflower is doing well. Cauliflower is doing well. and so are the tomatoes.
  7. Candy Onions I put in a couple of planters and some that are in the upper garden. I need to clean and re-stain my table top I built on some tree stumps and the bench I made. I have the stain just haven't done it yet. Well I have a couple weeks to do it. I need to make a to do list because I am getting forgetful lately. .
  8. You inspired me to go out and look at the garden up close and take some pics. It has been awhile and the weeds have almost overtaken some stuff. I hate to weed and usually the paper works great and this year it did also except where I ripped the paper walking on it. I tilled deeper this year and my garden was very soft so when i was planting my knees and feet ripped the paper. Everything did well but the weeds are bad. If you have seen pics of my garden in the past there is hardly a weed. all in all everything is doing great. I even have lots of watermelon. Butternut squash grew so well it climbed up the fence. The plant below is Stevia I should grab some leaves next week and dry them to use in place of sugar since I am diabetic.
  9. Doing pretty good. We finally have onions this year and we have lots of cabbage and my wife has picked some of the broccoli and cauliflower.
  10. On the top right side of the forum page could you add more Latest Posts/ Topics in that section.
  11. they have been doing this overseas for years in fact one place is like 20 stories tall. We are just catching up.
  12. Just off Route 53 outside of Philipsburg just outside of Osceola Mills is a car show every year at Bud Garvey's Vintage Race Museum in a little place called Stumptown. If you make it into Osceola Mills you went to far. This has got to be one of the best Car Show/Cruise-Ins in the area I have been to and I got their late after dozens of cars had already left. here is his facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bud-Garveys-Car-Show-and-Cruise-in/365692940169099 https://www.facebook.com/Bud-Garveys-Vintage-Race-Car-Museum-924818217545280/ They have pics of cars from previous years. I did not take many pics and the ones I did were just to show the size of this. His neighbors actually let classic cars park in their yards. Now I am not sure if they are all related to him but this just goes to show the neighborhood spirit of this thing when you let people walk through your yards looking at cars people from all over have parked in. Across the street is a big field where people can park and walk on over to the festivities. Next year I will get their early.
  13. maybe change the heart emoji for like other than that I cannot think of a thing. Great job.
  14. Congratulations. That is also one heck of a tent they had that one group of cars in.

  16. my red romaine lettuce has already gone to seed in just a few days. They call this bolting and I can harvest the leaves but they probably will be bitter. They do look nice though. lol
  17. could have been crows or some other bird
  18. I am betting every ones gardens are now perking up. Also first year I actually planted head lettuce but doesn't look like they are getting any heads just tons of leaves. I will have to read up on this.
  19. My garden also has taken off. The rain helped but I think the lightning was the key factor.
  20. My cabbage, lettuce is doing great. In the bottom garen looks like the cauliflower, brussel sprouts and Broccoli are getting the leaves eaten by something. I may have to try the vinegar trick and see if it works. Peppers and Tomatoes are in and are pretty much the same as when I planted them. The celery is doing good. The middle of the garden is not bare it has watermelon, squash and pumpkins planted in it. Oh and in pic 5 you can see rogue potatoes from a couple years ago popping up through.
  21. I read this today and thought I would post Maybe those are that are having problems could try this and let us know if it works. 13 uses for vinegar in a garden Blooms are brought back to life . . . Vinegar
  22. I actually planted a bit early this year. I managed to get in lettuce, cabbage, brussel sprouts, etc. They are all doing well. I planted tomatoes and peppers last weekend. I may go out and take some pics later. I had some strawberries that got eaten by something. I suspect a chipmunk. He ate welll they were just turning red.
