  2. Does it like mostly to full sunlight? Looking to move mine and it where I want to put it would get sun from late morning until evening

  4. I mulch and compost every year yet the soil in this bed is almost hard as rock today. Looking to build another bed to expand next year might have to find top soil somewhere for it
  5. No fertilizer at all Pete. Thanks lavender. Never gave type of potatoe a thought. Just bought a few to try
  6. Pulled the tater bin apart this afternoon. Only taters in teh ground and not up through the bin like I thought was to happen. did I do something wrong? I waited till the plant grew some and only covered 1/2 at time. bought about a pound to plant and got about 8 pounds but not how I expected
  7. I knew i was late but just thought i might catch a glimpse of some somewhere
  8. made a loop from Emporium to driftwood and back to Weedville today. Stopped at Hick's Run viewing area( what a mess it is there). only saw white tail does and fawns
  9. I built my bin with 2 x 2 and pallet slats. just used potting soils and creek sand mixed. like Gator my plants are tall but not sure of taters at teh bottom
  10. 4 x 8 bed doing well. Almost looks like a jungle. planted taters in a bin about 2 ft high and the plants must be almost 2 ft above that. cukes just starting but vines are nice, pumpkins about the same. tomatoes well every year I say it is the last but every year I put some in and they are looking rather good right now. zukes have blossoms but haven't seen a fruit yet

  15. yea that's it. Brain cramp I guess. the larger one was further back in the field and there was too much traffic to get stopped to look closer
  16. Saw the Penfield herd this moring in the corn field befre you get to Cataldo's pipe and supply coming towards Penfiled. 2 Small and 1 large bull witha bout 12 cows
  17. have heard tey drop in an area back behind the Big Trout somewhere
  18. I on't tink I got onions in until mid June last year
  19. I always wait till end of January or into February to make sure sap is down. i believe it is any month with an "R" to prune or transplant. Others here are more knowledgeable thanm I though
  20. They won't it would not be cost effective for them. At least that would be their answer
