  1. We have a few bushes in our yard. My dad planted them a long time ago. He did everything he could with them. Made sure the weeds were taken out around them, saw dust mound up, Japanese beetle bags near to capture the bugs, along with plant food. To me it seemed to do any good. When he passed away I did not pick up where he left off with the care. I got rid of the saw dust, dont bother with the beetle bags or the plant food. I just let them go. They are now HUGE and produce some very large berries. My suggestion, dont worry about them, they will grow.
  2. Very Easy Sloppy Joe Casserole 1 - 2 lbs hamburg. Pizza Crust mix (your choice) Manwich sloppy joe mix Cheddar Cheese Fry up hamburg and then add sloppy joe mix. Take pizza crust and half it and line a casserole dish with one half. Add hamburg mix and cheese. Top with the other half of the pizza crust. Bake accordingly. Very delicious and easy and fast to make.
  3. [face=Verdana]Onion Blossom[/face] Ingredients: 1 large Vidalia Onion 3 cups cold water 2 large eggs 1/2 cup beer or club soda 1/2 cup milk 2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp cayene pepper (optional) Preheat oil in large sauce pan to 375 degrees, or heat oil in a deep fryer. Peel onion and cut off the bottom leaving a flat surface. Cut into 3/4in wedges, but don't cut all the way through. Soak onion in ice cold water until wedges open, about 20 minutes: drain and pat dry. Mix eggs, beer or club soda, and milk in a bowl. Mix flour and baking powder in a seperate bowl. Dip onion in egg mixture, then into the flour mixture. Dip again in to egg mix, then flour mix, making sure the onion is well coated. Place the onion in hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown and tender, about 15 minutes. drain on paper towles. Place on a serving plate and sprinkle with salt and cayenne pepper (optional). Dippin sauces can be but not limited to pizza sauce, bar-b-que sauce, onion blossom sauce.
  4. [face=Geneva]Fried Zucchini or Squash[/face] Very very simple. Ingedients: 1/4 cup flour 1/3 or 1/2 cup 4C seasoned bread crumbs 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp parmesan cheese 1) egg 1/2+ cup milk 1-2 Zucchinis or squash (depending on size) Slice up the zucchini or squash into 1/8in thick slices. Mix flour, bread crumbs, garlic powder, parmesan cheese in a bowl. In a seperate bowl mix egg and milk. Add oil to a frying pan about 1/2 inch deep. Dip the zucchini or squash in egg/milk mix, then put in the dry mix bowl and coat evenly. Put it in the oil and fry till golden brown. You can also use a deep fryer. Dipping sauces an be but not limited to pizza sauce, bar-b-que sauce, ketchup. Best served before meal.
  5. Bar-B-Que Chicken Pizza Ingredients: 1/2 bar-b-q sauce (again, I use KC Masterpiece) 3/4 - 1lb bonless chicken strips 1) small -medium onion halved and sliced 1/4 tsp garlic salt 1 - 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese (or as much cheese as you like) Fry up chicken in a pan with the garlic salt. Make your pizza dough like you would for a normal pizza. I use the mix that you just add water. Spread out dough on a greased pizza pan. Spread on sauce in a nice even coat. Add the chicken and onion, spreading out evenly. Sprinkle on cheese. Bake as long as you would normally bake your pizza. This goes good with an ice cold beer or homemade root beer.
  6. Homemade Beef Stew Ingredients: 2) Large Potatoes 2) Large Carrots or 1) Can Sliced Carrots 1) Medium Onion 1) Can Whole Kernel Corn 1) Can Green Beans 1 1/2 Lbs of Diced beef or Stew Beef 1/2 tsp garlic salt 2-4 cups of hot water (depends on how much you make and how big your pot is) Fry up stew beef in fry pan, just enough to brown them. (Don't worry the inside will still get cooked). Peel the potatoes, carrots, and onion. Dice the potatoes and onion, slice the carrots, add to a large pot with water. Add corn green beans, garlic salt, and beef (if there is no juice left with the beef, you can use beef broth, but only use half a can). Stir really well. Set stove to low or medium and let set for at least 2 hours, stirring randomly. Add more water if neccessary. Serve with fresh homade bread, and you go yourself a tummy warming meal. You can also use this recipe with a crock pot, works just as well too.
  7. Bar-B-Que Baby Back Ribs on the Grill I love to bar-b-que. And I love bar-b-que sauce. I seem to eat just about everything with bar-b-que sauce on it. I dont know why, it just tastes awesome to me. And its not a hot sauce, its more of a sweet with a little tangy to it. I have a recipe for Baby Back Barbeque Ribs. They taste awesome and fall right off the bone. What you need: 2 Sheets heavy duty foil 3 lb. pork baby back ribs 1Tbsp packed brown sugar 1Tbsp paprika 2tsp garlic powder 1 1/2 tsp pepper (I eliminate this cause I dont like pepper) 1/2 cup water 1 1/2 cup bar-b-que sauce (your choice, I use K.C. Masterpiece, has the best flavor and is just the best in my opinoin) What to Do: 1. Preheat grill to medium 2. Center half of ribs in a single layer on each sheet of foil. Combine brown sugar and spices; rub over ribs, turning to coat evenly. 3. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and one end to seal pocket. Through open end, add 1/4 cup water or 3-4 ice cubes. Double flod remaining end, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Repeat to make 2 packets. 4. Grill 45-60 minutes in covered grill. Remove ribs from foil; place ribs on grill. 5. Brush ribs with bar-b-que sauce. Continue grilling 10-15 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning every 5 minutes. Make some fried potatoes with butter, onion, and garlic salt fried up in a pan. Serve with your favorite vegetable and walla, awesome meal.
