Oil is a global commodity.. regardless how much we get through the straight… I said the same thing thing tho.. what I don’t get is the gas in the ground at the pumps was already paid for at X amount.. but then they raise prices before another load comes.. just like gold and silver… does t matter how much we make.. until it’s off the global market, we’re screwed

The gas prices hurt not me so much as I don't drive a lot anymore and can absorb the higher costs but others I am sure it is hurting. So here are a few tidbits for everyone to mull over. The Straight of Hormuz. The United States only gets 2% of it's oil throughThe Straight of Hormuz. Europe gets 10% through there. I am not sure why our gas prices rise so much because of this. Also it is not like that 2% is hurting us immediately. They always raise gas prices at any little thing over in the middle east immediately but when things do calm down it takes them forever to lower the prices back down. Here is another point. I know many gas station across the United States are using American oil. I am sure you have seen signs at gas stations that says We use oil from America etc. So why have these gas stations raised their prices if they do not even use foreign oil. Make it make sense. I know people say it is because oil prices are high. Ummmm American made oil should not be included in with foreign oil. It should have it's own index. Oil industry is a bunch of scumbags in my opinion. Just some food for thought. Rant Over. Just a post to spark some debate among the wise and powerful people of GoDuBois

Mary Ann McClelland, age 86 of Reynoldsville, PA died Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville, PA. Born on January 11, 1940 in Perry MO, she was the daughter of the late Malone and Mary (Caruso) Yancey. On December 17, 1957 she married her husband of 68 years, William McClelland. He survives. Mary Ann retired as a teacher's aide for special needs students in both the DuBois Area and Brockway Area School Districts. She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church where she was very active in church affairs. Mary Ann loved to go camping every weekend. She had so many good memories with her family and friends camping "up on the hill." She was a member of the Appalachian Wagon Train Association. Along with her husband and family, Mary Ann made many trips with the Association with their covered wagon, and team of horses. She had also served on the Brockway Area School Board, and was the Washington Township Auditor for many years. Mary Ann was a 4-H Leader in Jefferson County for several years. Along with her husband, Mary Ann is survived by her children (Julie Sirohman and her husband Tony of Louisville, KY, Steve McClelland and his wife Kathy of Brockway, PA, Dan McClelland and his wife Leanna, and Scott McClelland , both of Reynoldsville, PA), five grandchildren (Katie, Joey, Mitch, Dylan, and Nathan), one brother (Robert Yancey of Miami, FL) and one sister (Sharon Kirkwood of Greensburg, PA). She was preceded in death by her sister (Pat Gundrum), and her daughter-in-law (Beth McClelland). Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 2 -4 and 6 -8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 10 AM from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Bernard, Falls Creek, PA with Fr. John Malthaner as celebrant.
