wendy
The first two flower pics I didn't get them in bloom they are behind my barn buried in weeds I am going to dig them out and out them somewhere else. I didn't plant any of these they were here when we bought the house and it has been bugging me what they are!

lavender
The first and second ones are definitely trandescantia or spiderworts. They have the distinctive long grassy leaves and buds/seedpods with the little stem. They are a plant that was often planted in damp spots. [urlhttp://images.google.com/imageshl=en&q=spiderwort&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi [/url] There are so many forms of yellow flowers that look like 3, 4 and 6 that it is hard to tell. They might all be coreopsis. http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&q=coreopsis&btnG=Search+Images Calendulas are annuals so if the same plant comes back every year that is ruled out. Ditto with African daisies. The last one with the red in it might be a gazania but the petals don't look right so I'm going with coreopsis on that one too. I think if you search google images you will find a coreopsis that matches all of them. Five is a delphinium. http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&q=delphinium Seven is Veronica also known as speedwell. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=veronica%20plant&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi The last two are lilies but with all of the hybrids I couldn't hazard a guess. If they have been in a long time there is less chance that they are Asiatics and more chance that they are one of the American hybrids. The Asiatics are a more recent fad. If the 1st link doesn't activate this time, you will have to cut and paste. Don't know why it won't work.

Petee
Tradescantia is definitely right for the first one. Calendulas and African Daisies can reseed themselves but it has to be in an excellent environment for them.
lavender
they all come back every year. I thank you ladies for the help If the plants themselves come back every year and not just seedlings then I'm going to say they are all coreopsis. If they were reseeding, as annuals might, they would be in different spots.
