You told us on here about some type of iol you put on bushes to protect them during the winter. What was it?

Our holly bush did not recover as much as we thought it would from the damage of last winter. We want to give it a chance to make it through this winter a little better.

Sorry, I didn't see the message. 

 

Don't fertilize, do water after the middle of October before the ground freezes, prune out all damaged branches, spray with an anti-dessicant, loosely wrap with burlap, mulch 4-6 inches but not closer than 6 inches to the trunk.  The mulch will look like a big donut. Drying out in the winter causes most damage.  You can even water them during warm spells if they seem  to be drying out.
