hipower
I can't say I would recognize one bug from another in most cases, but the mobility of our society certainly aids in the spread of these critters more quickly than they would spresd on their own. On a recent trip to California in the motorhome we were required (along with all other vehicles) to go through an agricultural inspection checkpoint. The booth inspector asked where we were coming from. When the answer was PA we had to move to another location to be inspected for gypsy moths. Fortunately none were found. I didn't ask what would have happened if they were present. Maybe we would have had to burn the motorhome to the ground.
