fourthwardmommy
Does anyone have any historical information on this little town in Clearfield County? I've recently discovered there are some Stiffler's in my family tree and was wondering if it's named after this family.

Pappy
I see it is near Cherry Tree just off 219. You may want to stop in at Cherry tree or Burnside and see if there are any historical info also The PA Historical and Museum Commission. the census has a book by Richard L., Forstall Population of the States and Counties of the United States: 1790 to 1990, U.S. Bureau of the Census, Washington, DC, 1996. Here is some other info for you. R.Ewing Stiffler in 1947 wrote a paper or book:A genealogy listing of 325 descendants of a pioneer family of Pennsylvania "Dutch" ancestry of Joel B. Yonker(1809-1879) and Sarah Stiffler(1813-1893). The Historical Society of Ohio is suspose to have a copy of it. You may also try the Historical Society of Blair County,Penna.
