  1. Summer Drag Races Cancelled The popular summer drag races at the St. Marys Airport have been cancelled. The announcement comes after an exhaustive effort to secure insurance for the event. The premium for the insurance tripled this year, requiring a 3 million dollars in coverage. It is the hope of the drag race committee that the races can return in 2024.

  3. Vehicle fire causes part of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia to collapse, closing main East Coast artery. Avehicle fire shut down I-95 in both directions after an elevated portion of the heavily traveled interstate collapsed in Philadelphia on Sunday morning, state officials said, raising concerns about possible travel headaches throughout the Northeast. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the vehicle fire closed all lanes between Exit 25 and Exit 32, which includes Allegheny Avenue, Castor Avenue, Academy road and Linden Avenue. Philadelphia Fire Department Captain Derek Bowmer said emergency crews responded shortly before 6:30 a.m. local time after receiving a report of a vehicle being on fire on the interstate. Reports indicated that the vehicle may have been a tanker truck, but that has not been confirmed. The fire is under control and city and state officials are "responding to address impacts to residents in the area and travelers affected by the road closure," the state fire department said in a statement to USA TODAY. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Interstate 95 is the main north-south highway on the East Coast and stretches from Florida through Maine to Canada. "Travelers should expect delays and plan alternative travel routes, especially while planning for their weekday commute," the City of Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management said. Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg said he was monitoring the fire and collapse and was in touch with the governor and Federal Highway Administration to offer "help with recovery and reconstruction." How did the section of I-95 in Philadelphia collapse? Bowmer said runoff from the fire or compromised gas lines caused explosions underground. Because of heat from the fire, Bowmer said the northbound lanes were gone and the southbound lanes were "compromised." "Today’s going to be a long day. And obviously, with 95 northbound gone and southbound questionable, it’s going to be even longer than that," said Dominick Mireles, director of the Philadelphia OEM
  4. NEWS Explosions & Fire Collapse I-95 Bridge in Philadelphia Office of the Governor of Pennsylvania I’ve been briefed by PA Emergency Management Agency, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), and PA State Police on the I-95 fire and collapse in Philadelphia. State Police and PEMA are on the scene assisting local first responders and PA Secretary of Transportation and his team are en route to assess the situation and address traffic needs. Lt. Governor Austin Davis and I are closely coordinating with partners in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and the federal government and we will share more information as we have it. For now, please avoid the area and follow the direction of the first responders on the scene.

  11. Dr Tasian came and saw her Twice! That’s crazy to me that he has come onto the floor to see her and update us! Anyway, he feels that the stone was mostly from her utis … so the UTIs are what caused the stone …not the stone causing the UTIs…the more UTIs she had the bigger the stone grew So we will be keeping her on an antibiotic long term Infection prevention is the key he said. He will continue her kidney stone care for as long as she needs. As for her bladder issues and such We will be going to children’s in Pittsburgh for that I did receive a call from the urology department and there is a dr there who reviewed her case and disagrees with Dr Schnecks views and would like to take over Faiths care for her urology needs. So basically the UTIs caused the stone, the stone harbored the bacteria creating more UTIs and the UTIs would then cause the stone to grow bigger….nasty vicious cycle But they do feel that she shouldn’t get UTIs as often anymore as long as we follow up with care to make sure there is no other factors contributing to cause the UTIs in the first place. It could have been from the sepsis she had back in her cancer days that started the process then the gastroparesis last summer that caused a lot of dehydration and lack of fluids to flush out the bacteria properly

  14. Updated Update on Faith Marie!! Thursday- Peanut had a rough night, waking up crying, dry heaving and seemingly in pain…obviously……they are keeping her overnight again tonight, which I expected, they want to keep a close eye on her to make sure she’s not brewing an infection. Fever of 102.2 F They think it’s an infection caused by the bacteria that was on the stone, when they broke it up the bacteria of course got knocked loose Kinda like dust , when you move things around the dust gets knocked around and in the air. Heart rate is finally between the 110s and 130s compared to the 150s 180s earlier Temp is 99.1 She’s feeling better, her breathing isn’t hitching anymore She’s FINALLY resting peacefully and has been for the last 2 hours. I’m not too stressed out, they really are staying on top of things and we’re prepared for this to happen, they’re listening when I tell them stuff. There’s a really good open communication lines with us, the nurses and urology all working together. We all were assuming this would happen, hoping it wouldn’t but honestly I’m not shocked or surprised …we all expected it. Friday - Well folks… Dr Tasian had initially said Faith would probably go to the PICU (pediatric intensive care unit) and Faith decided to make him stick to his word……. She was doing well for a short time then this evening she started going back the other way again, fever high heart rate and just overall uncomfortable We will be going to the ICU shortly which Dr Tasian had initially planned for. The antibiotics that Faith has received aren’t kicking the enterococcus bacteria, could have been a sneaky piece of infected broken stone debris somewhere hiding. They are doing many tests to try and pin down what exactly is happening Dr Tasian did say many times that infection is common with this procedure and yes that includes sepsis She needs closer monitoring to make sure this thing doesn’t get too out of control. I can’t promise any updates for awhile because Deryk and I have not slept yet and once we get settled we are gonna need a nap 😴 We are in ICU …. Trying to get things stabilized. Saturday - Peanut is better The sepsis is under control…vancomycin is the antibiotic that seems to be treating the infection She’s still uncomfortable But we are going to try and give her food today..Kate farms We think that part of her discomfort is empty. Looks like we will be graduating from the ICU today We will be moved back down to the regular floor. Annnnd we are staying in ICU. She popped a fever 101.3 Her potassium is less than 2 … this is an electrolyte that affects the heart rhythm .. so that needs fixed And her phosphorus is low, that can cause weakness and fatigue Those need fixed before she can go to the regular floor.
  15. Surgery went well, she is in recovery. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻 Thank you Jesus, Thank you God!!
  16. Faith Marie (Peanut) is having surgery tomorrow morning (Wednesday) in Philly to have the kidney stone removed finally!! The stone is the size of a full size acorn. The dr has to go through her back, then into the kidney & cut up the stone into, he hopes, only 4 pieces. After he gets any other stones out of there, he will stitch her up & send her to the NICU where she will stay till Thursday or Friday. Being this is a complicated surgery for Faith since she has Trisomy 18, she & the dr could use some prayers! Thank you, 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
  17. Faith was ok’d today for surgery tomorrow morning @ 5:45am. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
