  1. If I lived in DuBois I would be writing these names in. Just remember people you can put their names in for both party's
  2. I came into Brookville Wed. on 36 from Punxy and saw the Hillside on fire, on the left of Giant Eagle along the Redbank Valley trail.
  3. Also I should remind people who are not registered to vote to go do that soon. If you complain and do not vote you really shouldn't because the solution to the problem is to get out and vote. By not voting you are not helping to solve anything.
  4. For the write in vote I saw a couple people who will be running as write in candidates. If you want to vote on them, then you should use the name they used when they called the election office. Jennifer Jackson who owns Brady Street is running and you should write this in Also Pat Reasinger is running and that is what you should write in if you want them in office and live DuBois. here is an article https://www.connectradio.fm/news/two-write-in-candidates-declare-for-dubois-city-council

  6. I see that Jennifer Jackson aka Jennifer Torell(Jennifer Jackson Torell) is running. I am not sure how you spell Torell. She owns Brady street Florist. I just saw her facebook video and thought I would share it to you folks at GoDuBois. I do not know her personally other than stopping in a couple times to buy flowers in the past. Here is her video. I hope she doesn't mind me posting it. About 1:15 in the video is where she announces her write-in campaign. https://www.facebook.com/BradyStreetFlorist/videos/890604612016118
  7. Yep he is. So the Bank reimbursed all the fraudulent charges so that was good. We finally got a hold of them tonight and she must have been from Pennsylvania and she was very helpful unlike the people form India.
  8. Yes we are planning on closing it but it was the weekend when we noticed this and could not close it and I did transfer most of the money out into my wife's other account letting the other family members to know why but have had to transfer some back as to not get overdraft charges and to see if they can reimburse what was stolen. Also the bank did take care of the $100 from yesterday when I woke up this morning it had disappeared. I broke my rule last night as well. I promised myself that I would not post right after getting angry and not in the right mindset. haha well I broke that last night when I could not sleep because of the pain I had all over so I got online and I should not have. Angry, still grieving and in lots of pain and my finger filters come off and I tend to rant. haha. Although it did give me a chance to try out my new computer I ordered. My other one quit working last month or so and I have been waiting for the new build to arrive which is why I have been absent from here. I finally figured out how to turn the light out on the computer and keyboard. It was like a disco in the room. The water cooled is much quieter though I have to admit. I did lose all my memes and bookmarks. Yes I know I preach to people about backing up but then I do not do it. BTW the ladies down at farmers are excellent people I was not ranting about them it was being sent to a foreign country and not being able to understand the person we were talking to and that they could not understand what dead means. I mean how can she come to the phone. I guess today she could. we could always bring the phone over to the urn but I doubt she will answer their questions. I am keeping my accounts for now and see how this gets handled this week but I am sure my wife will let them know about our dealings with the fraud department. Police have been notified and Chief Bell will look into it after talking to the DA. I still find it odd calling him that after knowing him when I coached Tee Ball and him growing up with my son and knowing his family well. He is genuinely a very good guy and Brockway is lucky to have him. I know he enjoys his job and the people in the town.
  9. We have already done all this but they got the account numbers beforehand. While I do not want to believe this but most likely a relative who had her card number and as soon as she died started to use it not realizing my wife was also on that account. Problem is it is the debit card they are using and it is in my mother in laws name but gets taken out of the joint account. The bank was supposed to shut it off but apparently did not.
  10. Farmers National Bank is joke. Tried to get the fraud department to do something but they said the main person on the account had to contact them. Ummm hello we told you she passed away. I think we will pull all our money out of all our other accounts and move them to another bank. Farmers just merged and it is terrible. Never had that problem with them before but now you get someone from India instead of the main branch like before. I would suggest others do the same. They were suppose to call back today but never did. They were also supposed to stop all transactions but another $100 went to the Casino. So that is $610 out of the account. What a farce.
  11. You know it is quite an ordeal to lose a loved one not to mention two in less than a year but even worse when someone steals money out of their bank account somehow getting their debit card info. My mother-in-law passed who was married to Mr. D years back. The person did this before my wife took possession of her purse and wallet. They used this at an online Casino. Setting up an account there on the 23rd the day she died. This is just plain evil. We will be talking to the police and filing charges tomorrow or Tuesday. Then on top of that her landlords who were never nice people say they don't plan on returning her deposit. We even told them we would have her stuff out before the end of the month and it mostly is. We plan on cleaning everything even though it is clean now but will still do it and we will be taking pictures. The wife was very rude also to my sister in law who called. I hope all these people get the karma that they deserve. God will be waiting for them to pass judgement on their sorry souls. Rant over.
  12. It was not bad at all. I was glad they actually checked. In our area the police are always willing to help. I have always had great encounters with the police. Now big cities the police may not have even thought about following up. Glad everything worked out for you also Polo This is one reason I like living in a rural area. Great police response and they treat everyone as far as I have seen with respect especially the State Police. In fact my barber is a retired from the state police. Heck of a nice guy. I really enjoy talking to him every month when I go get my haircut As long as they treat me with respect I will reciprocate it. Now I know there are a few every now and then who get hired by different towns in our area who are not police officer material but they get weeded out eventually.
  13. I live out of town also and very few neighbors. This happened when my wife stopped at the store in Brookville. She told me she will never go back there.
  14. We just had a visit by two State Police officers. They came to do a welfare check. Apparently they could not tell us exactly what had happened at first. Then they told us where the incident happened and then my wife knew what was going on. My Granddaughter had ran into my sons stomach with her head and he doubled over and called her a brat. He may have used the f-word also and then after he stood up he went outside and helped an older lady put her groceries in her car while my wife finished and then checked out. My son can be quite loud as can I They went to our car and in the parking lot and drove home. It wasn't more than 10 minutes later that two State Police cars rolled into the driveway and then knocked on the door. My wife had not even had a chance to put the groceries away and I had just gotten one bite out of my supper. That is a heck of a response time considering this happened in the old Mikes Comet store and we live in Brockway. Kudos to them for following up so quickly. At first they said their there was an incident with my sons white car but that had never left the driveway. Then the other officer said no it was this car with that plate, so they knew the plate and asked who was driving which my wife said she was. Eventually they said their was yelling and screaming in the parking lot and someone was left in the parking lot etc. The problem was that nothing happened in the parking lot and the only thing that happened was an 8 year old girl who thought she was a wrestler or football player and used her head as a battering ram in the store knocking the wind out of her father lol. The state police were getting info third hand and they really did not know anything actually. They were extremely nice and my Granddaughter came out on said why are they here, innocently. I was actually laughing. Also to give some context on my attire having just woke up from the couch when the dogs started barking when my wife got home. I came to the door with only my shorts on when I went to see who my wife was talking to and I had a chicken leg from Popeyes in one hand and a plate in the other with a chicken breast on it. So there I am eating my chicken and starting to freeze as I asked in between bites what is the problem with my car. My hair standing straight up and my big gut exposed and pale white skinny ass legs. LOL. I must have looked like one those typical rednecks you see on that COPS show. The only thing that would have been funnier is if I would have farted and then scratched my balls and then yep Hillbilly Redneck. At first one car then it was the other and my wife thinking she they thought she was in an accident and then left hitting someone with her car backing up or something. We had everyone come to the door to make sure everyone was ok so welfare check completed. I did thank them for following up and checking because they were just doing their jobs. We were actually laughing about the situation. Like I said the officers were extremely friendly and lo and behold my dogs were were not acting all crazy and barking to loud. They probably thought oh crap the cops cheese it with the barking. Our mountain dog did manage to slip her head slightly out the door to get a peak. Now for those that wonder where I got Popeyes chicken well my wife, son and Granddaughter went to Kraynack's in Sharon PA to see the Easter display so I got the leftovers haha Now it was funnier in person than how I described it but you know the saying you had to be there. To the Karen who called brrrrrrrrp. That's my best raspberry. I would hate to be their neighbors.

  17. There must not be many coyotes in my area anymore. I used to walk outside and hear them every night. I haven't heard any for quite some time.
