Epsom salts work great on slugs. Sprinkle directly and watch them melt - kind of like the wicked witch on Wizard of Oz. I'm not usually cruel but those things are plain gross and devour my flowers worse than anything.
Thanks, I knew I could count on someone to already have a decent link. We have quite a few really nice hostas around our camper. The deer just love them unfortunately and they look like celery stalks most of the summer. Need to find something to replace them with.
Thank you Lavender! My bulbs bloomed so well last year I didn't want to screw em up this year. The crocus bulbs I planted last fall are already up and blooming .
I love to watch birds. Unfortunately, by the time I think our local bear has finally hibernated the birds have found other feeders. Tired of replacing busted up feeders if I put them out too soon. .... and wouldn't want to be blamed for baiting the bears.
