  1. I think it was last summer that there were prisoners working over there, there was an armed guard. I watched them from the hospital. Is that Sam guy still there? He had signs out asking for donations
  2. If they have buds, I'd wait, if not you can plant them anytime. Mine are just starting to come up now.

I need to repot mine, well my daughters, When she had to bring it in a few falls ago, her cats wouldn't let it alone,s so it came here till spring (still here) so last summer I set it out and it got sunburnt, (leaves died off.) I trimmed it back to nothing and found that there are many plants in that one pot. I'll get around and do that someday, but it is coming back nicely. Other daughter told me that's what hers looked like when the deer ate it, right on her porch. (TL)
  5. Love the peace lily, I've never had one on those rebloom, but I have one that got sunburned and I cut it down to nothing and it's growing good, so maybe....
  6. when I get time, I'll shrink a picture of my orchid that is blooming now. It has 4 flowers and 2 more buds. I was so excited when it got buds and then again when it bloomed! My first orchid!!!!!!

  8. we called your chewy little dumplings, rivels. Always put rivels in chicken noodle soup. When making potato soup if you wnat to thicken it a bit, use instant mashed potato flakes. Vegetable soup We chunk up a steak or small roast and brown it with worchestershire sauce and add a pkg of mixed vegetables, can of diced tomatoes, tomato sauce (or tomato juice) potatoes, celery, onion, carrots, beef broth and anything left over in the fridge to use up. I like cabbage in mine! Put in the crock pot for a few hours and add soem pepper or season with whatever you like. Good today, better tomorrow!
  9. I'm ready for spring too, but for now I am atchingmy orchid bud, I've had it for a few years with no results, repotted it a couple of months ago and it took off! Now spiked and budding! that will hold me over till spring.
  10. When we went camping the week-end of the 25th of Sesptember we stayed at a state Park in SE Pa and they were every where. I've heard that they are bad this fall. I get the Asian beetles here, but they weren't as bad this year.
  11. I never saw them bloom before. Mine are huge. I've tried them before and they didn't make it, but my hairdresser gave me a start and they are doing great, really big, but not growing up like that. I'm getting lots of chicks too!
  12. A sharpie or maybe one of those laundry marker pens, that shouldn't matter if it gets wet. Hope you can use the blind that you just got from me. A good idea to use those, you can get lots from one miniblind!

  15. I have a bachelor crab tree that is that color and is now starting to bloom, it is beautiful for a few days, but this pic is so big that it doesn't quite look like the same, those buds look like roses. If you can get it smaller, maybe I could tell.
  16. I can't wait either to get started in my flower garden. I want to do some more landscaping this year. OF course, I say that every year though, and end up. not keeping up with the weeds. The sun does look nice today.
