badmonkey
I planted three dozen tulips in the fall of 2006. They grew and bloomed nicely last spring. This year they are growing like crazy and there are three or four flowers per plant this spring. Should I dig them up this fall and split them apart or just let them go? lavender
Sounds as though they are just reaching their peak. I wouldn't divide until the the number of blooms seem to be declining. The books say 3-5 years for tulips.
