schmo1995
I could use some advice on getting bluebirds into my yard. I had a hawk kill a female 2 years ago near the box they prefer and didn't get any last year at all. I have 3 boxes set up, one on a telephone pole ( their preferred one), two others on skinnier poles. One of these is in an open area of the yard which usually ends up with a barn swallow. I have tried attracting them with meal worms but not much success there. If there is a group I could contact, I would greatly appreciate it. DuBoiser
I know that PA Wildlife Habitat used to make the bluebird boxes - maybe someone in the organization could suggest something helpful

Petee
Maybe the other bird is beating the bluebird to the nest box. The boxes need to be checked weekly for the eggs of invaders that need ejected.
