fedup
If you don't think the election process is a joke, try this on for size. Laura Ingraham could not contain herself as she reacted to the extremely small “crowds” that showed up at recent campaign events held by former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. “If you’re going to run for president, I wish you were able to draw more than six people to your events,” Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo said on Friday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle, as b-roll footage of the events played. “Now, this is Mr. Hutchinson in Iowa on Tuesday, Laura, ok? Now, lest you think we’re being selective or cruel here, this is the crowd Hutchinson drew in Greenville, South Carolina last week. It’s like waiting for a doctor’s office that’s closed.” Ingraham burst into laughter. “Raymond when I looked at it quickly, I’m like, is this an old episode of the group therapy on the Bob Newhart Show?” she said. “Maybe it’s an intervention,” Arroyo joked. “The voters are saying, ‘Maybe you shouldn’t do this.'” “Oh God!,” she replied. “This looks like a – God bless them – an AA meeting or something. It’s like, ‘I’m John and I’m a Hutchinson supporter. Help me.'” Hutchinson is indeed well behind in the polls, in which he regularly notches around 1%. Former President Donald Trump has been dominating the field despite the hopes of some Republicans that another frontrunner will emerge. Many of them had high hopes for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has consistently placed second in surveys behind Trump by a wide margin. fedup
Well the Liberals have figured out that normal people will not take their BS so now they have turn to eating each other. Democratic New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on Friday announced that his administration has filed a lawsuit against the federal government over its approval of a New York plan to reduce traffic congestion. Murphy said New Jersey filed the lawsuit against the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and accused the federal agencies of violating environmental laws. In May, the FHWA authorized a plan from New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to charge commuters an increased fee to enter Manhattan in an effort to reduce congestion and improve the city's air quality. "After refusing to conduct a full environmental review of the MTA’s poorly designed tolling program, the FHWA has unlawfully fast-tracked the agency’s attempt to line its own coffers at the expense of New Jersey families," Murphy said Friday in a statement. "The costs of standing idly by while the MTA uses New Jersey residents to help balance its budget sheets are more than economic." "At the MTA’s own admission, its tolling program would divert traffic and shift pollution to many vulnerable New Jersey communities, impacting air quality while offering nothing to mitigate such considerable harm," he added. "Today we stand as a unified front against this reckless scheme and reaffirm our commitment to combat the unjust taxation of our hardworking residents by other states." So what happened to the local law enforcement that had jurisdiction over where the laptop was discovered? Did they decide to not do their job? fedup
Home Appliances Confirmed Story by William Rainer • Yesterday 4:09 PM It has recently been confirmed that the Biden Administration has plans to put major restrictions on home appliances across the US. In a conference involving the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, reporters asked her about the administration’s fight against such appliances. The reporter pointed out that the administration has held a firm stance in opposition to appliances such as: “gas stoves, air conditioning units… refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, now water heaters…” Instead of letting the markets and capitalism run its course, the Biden Administration plans to use their status to enforce nationwide restrictions on the less efficient, but less costly home appliances. In order to make this happen the administration is hoping to regulate the less efficient, in effect getting rid of all cheaper options. However, the stated goal is not set to be complete until 2029. As reported by Fox, the plan would drastically reduce energy related bills for Americans in the long term despite the difficulty affording the higher-end appliances. The benefits would be wide spreading, but the up front cost to the average American household would potentially outweigh such diffuse gains. Additionally, though the goal of saving Americans money in the long run is noble enough, the method could be greatly improved upon. For example, instead of disincentivizing less efficient appliances, maybe the administration could incentivize the more efficient ones. The American people pay trillions of dollars in taxes each year. Maybe instead of dismantling the military and funding inhumane agendas in schools, the government could give the American people means to afford the more efficient appliances. On top of all this it may come as no surprise that the regulation on water heaters, stoves, and the like are all the latest ploys by the Biden Administration to push the climate agenda on the American people. If the administration planned to fund the mass purchasing of higher end washing machines and related appliances, at least they would be putting their money where their mouth is. The dictator that millions of foolish liberals voted for is gonna cram the falsehood of global warming down your throat, making you pay today for a future dream that WILL NEVER COME TRUE, BE PROUD LIBERALS, BE VERY VERY PROUD of what you done to our America. fedup
Hunter Biden indicted: Critics cry foul over Weiss bringing only case not connected to Joe Vivek Ramaswamy called the indictment a 'smokescreen' meant to deflect from the Biden family influence-peddling allegations By Charles Creitz Fox News Published September 15, 2023 6:00am EDT After U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss indicted Hunter Biden on federal gun charges, critics warned the now-special-counsel might simply be trying to save face after the prior plea deal fell apart, and that it should be noted the charge is the only one not connected to President Biden. Wall Street Journal writer Bill McGurn asked why Weiss hadn't brought the gun charges five years ago, when the Trump appointee commenced the investigation into the then-future-first son. "This is ridiculous," he said. "It raises more questions about the Justice Department and David Weiss and does about Hunter Biden." "David Weiss has let the more serious charges lapse from the statute of limitations, so I think what this does is show why it's even more important to have the [impeachment] inquiry to find out what was going on with Hunter and how much was his father involved." In 2018, Hunter Biden and Hallie Biden — widow of his brother Beau, and whom he was dating — reportedly had an altercation that resulted in Ms. Biden disposing of the weapon in a receptacle near a high school in Delaware outside Wilmington. The gun was also purportedly seen in images from Hunter Biden's infamous laptop — and Weiss' charges cited the first son's drug use at the time, as the first son allegedly didn't report the addiction as mandated on his permit application. "We're not going to get justice from the Justice Department on any of this," McGurn added. "A special counsel's job is not to vindicate his own reputation," he continued. "It should be to get the truth and file charges accordingly if they are merited, and I think now we're in a cleanup operation." Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy appeared to echo McGurn, writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the indictment is a "smokescreen" and a "fig leaf" meant to deflect from the Biden family's alleged influence-peddling operations. "The impeachment inquiry initiated by the House against President Biden is a step in the right direction, but the public shouldn’t fall for the trick of diverting attention away from the true problem," Ramaswamy said, adding he believes Hunter's indictment is the first concrete step in forcing Joe Biden to nix his re-election bid. Former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Andrew McCarthy also told "The Story" that the Hunter gun charge is concerning but not of "national consequence." He said Weiss' behavior should still raise questions about the veracity of the Justice Department's investigations, citing how the statute of limitations has run out or is running out on many of the more serious allegations against Hunter and Joe Biden. Meanwhile, OutKick founder Clay Travis said the question few are asking is whether the president will pardon his son. He said every reporter must press the president on that aspect, given how many times Trump's rivals have been asked if they will pardon him, should he be convicted in his Atlanta, New York and Miami indictments. https://www.foxnews.com/media/hunter-biden-indicted-critics-cry-foul-weiss-bringing-case-connected-joe This POS, poor excuse of a human being will never ever spend one day in jail. fedup
Do you all remember this when Trump was elected???? Dozens of Republicans are rushing for the exits on Capitol Hill in an exodus which has dramatically raised Democratic hopes of shifting the balance of power in Washington DC. Congressman Trey Gowdy, the Republican who made headlines with a crusade to investigate Hillary Clinton, announced his retirement on Wednesday, becoming the 38th Republican to announce they would be giving up their seat in Congress since Donald Trump’s inauguration last year. Gowdy and other Republicans cheered the president on during his state of the union address, chanting “USA” and standing to applaud his agenda. Trump State of the Union address promised unity but emphasized discord Read more But many of the same lawmakers have said they have had enough of Washington and the chaos in the White House, gridlock at work and angry voters back home. Midterm elections in November give Democrats a strong chance of winning the 24 seats they need to seize back the House and jeopardizing the president’s agenda. Gowdy was the second senior Republican this week to announce his retirement, after New Jersey’s Rodney Frelinghuysen, a 12-term congressman. The pair chaired powerful committees on oversight and the nation’s finances, and follow 23 other Republicans leaving the House to quit politics altogether. A further 11 will step down in order to run for higher office in the Senate or as state governors and three more are leaving the Senate. In contrast, only 15 Democratic representatives and one senator are leaving Congress. In January, Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican facing his own difficult re-election, accused two of his fellows of “running for the hills, making a very frightened assessment rather than a courageous assessment”. They have cause for fear. Midterm elections are unforgiving even to popular presidents – Democrats lost 63 House seats in 2010, when Barack Obama’s approval rating was around 45% – and Trump is historically unpopular, only recently rising to an average of 40%. “He’s by the far the most unpopular first-year president in the polling age,” said Matt Glassman, a Georgetown government affairs professor. “No one wants to be embarrassed in an electoral defeat, and a lot of people don’t want to fight tooth-and-nail just to be in the minority in the next Congress.” The retirements do not bode well, political scientists said. “That’s usually a sign that there could be impending doom,” said Terry Madonna, a professor at Franklin and Marshall College. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/feb/01/republicans-congress-trump-us-midterm-elections Now, fast forward to today for 7 more anti-American Republicans that just can't do the right thing. Hell, they put the anti-American liberals to shame. 7 skeptical Republicans to watch on impeaching Biden Analysis by Aaron Blake Staff writer September 13, 2023 at 1:53 p.m. EDT For the third time in four years, the House has moved forward with impeachment proceedings against an American president. But the inquiry into President Biden is not like Donald Trump’s two. One reason is the distinct lack of evidence linking Biden to actual wrongdoing, with the unproven allegations generally focusing on whether Biden benefited from his son Hunter’s business dealings. Another is that public support for the inquiry just isn’t where it was for either of Trump’s impeachments. Yet another is that we’ve seen significant early pushback from inside the impeachment-pushing party — which was not the case with the Trump impeachments. Some House Republicans say that they worry in general about another impeachment but also that the evidence isn’t there even for an inquiry. Several Senate Republicans have given the effort the cold shoulder. That resistance matters. Not only does it cast bipartisan doubt on House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s decision, but it raises the prospect that this whole effort could ultimately fall apart in a closely divided House — one in which McCarthy (R-Calif.) has only around five GOP votes to spare. The biggest rebuke would be if McCarthy can’t ultimately get a majority of the House to vote to impeach Biden. Even short of that, impeaching Biden while losing a handful of Republican votes — and possibly seeing further Republican departures in a Senate trial — would be a significant setback. The way these things generally work is that enough members of a party ultimately fall in line, for fear of embarrassing their leadership and party. But members like the 18 House Republicans in districts Biden won in 2020 have their own careers to think about. And it’s not clear McCarthy even had the votes for an inquiry; he promised less than two weeks ago that the House would vote on one, but then flip-flopped on Tuesday and launched it unilaterally. Both that flip-flop and the political pressure McCarthy is getting from the right would seem to suggest this exercise is not particularly well conceived. But here we are. And there is, in all likelihood, no turning back on ultimately voting on impeaching Biden. So which House Republicans are worth watching? Below we list some of those who have been the most publicly skeptical — breaking down how firm their skepticism appears to be — in rough order of who is most interesting. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/09/13/7-republicans-watch-impeaching-biden/ This is what happens when you elect lying crooks. fedup
Once again old meanie fedup has been way ahead of the crooked curve. For years I have been telling everyone that Liberalism is just a feel good generic term of the socialisms that the lefty loonies wants. They are too stupid to understand that Socialism HAS NEVER WORKED in the history of mankind and IT AIN'T gonna start now. Washington Examiner Follow Chicago turns to socialism to 'fix' its self-inflicted crime problems Opinion by Zachary Faria•18h In normal cities, law enforcement arrests criminals, and grocery stores stay open. In Chicago, criminals are free to do as they wish, grocery stores are run out of business, and the mayor thinks socialism is the only possible solution. Mayor Brandon Johnson is now proposing government-owned grocery stores in order to combat food deserts in the city, as four Walmart locations and one Whole Foods have all recently closed. Walmart claims its Chicago locations have not been profitable since they opened them 17 years ago, but the “tens of millions of dollars” in losses have “nearly doubled in just the last five years.” That corresponds with Chicago’s descent into pro-criminal policy and the lawlessness that followed. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce estimates that more than $2 billion in goods were stolen from retailers in Illinois in 2021, while Chicago arrests for retail theft dropped dramatically since the start of the pandemic. Chicago is simply refusing to (or is unable to) arrest and prosecute shoplifters, and it is predictably hurting normal residents who simply want to be able to buy food. Johnson is part of that problem, actively defending criminals and their criminal actions and celebrating any and all policies that put criminals back out on the street as quickly as possible. Now, his grand solution to reverse Chicago’s decay is not to renew the focus on retail crime and make it feasible for Walmart and others to do business in Chicago but to put the government in charge of a few grocery stores. You can predict the result of this move with little effort. Criminals would still be free to steal whatever they like from “Chicagomart” just as they would from other retailers. The stores would run on heavy losses, but those losses would be shouldered by taxpayers instead of a corporation such as Walmart. Chicago residents would be subsidizing shoplifting, and whatever terrible business decisions that the notably incompetent Chicago government would make with the stores. Chicago, under both Johnson and former Mayor Lori Lightfoot, has opted to shoot itself in the foot repeatedly. Now, it will try to treat its self-inflicted injuries with quack remedies rather than trying to stop the bleeding and then stop shooting itself in the foot. All of this because Johnson and other Chicago leaders think criminals should be able to do whatever they want The other night I seen and heard 4 or 5 of Fox news so called reporters discuss this subject and no matter how hard I screamed at my TV these clowns never once uttered the word socialism. This is why I don't keep any hard throwable objects close to me when I am trying to get informed by the useless news. I can't afford to buy new TV's everyday. fedup
MORE VOTERS FOR THE LIBERALS using your tax dollars The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday announced it will be granting deportation protections and work permits to thousands of Afghan nationals who arrived in the last year – including those who crossed illegally at the southern border – a day after it made a similar announcement for nationals from Venezuela. DHS announced it will be both extending and redesignating Afghanistan for Temporary Protected Status – which shields nationals already in the country from deportation and allows them to apply for work permits due to conditions in their home country. The designation is typically based on conditions in the designated country and is based on three grounds: armed ongoing conflict, environmental disasters or "extraordinary and temporary conditions." Officials cited conditions including armed conflict in Afghanistan, where the Taliban has retaken control. "Today’s announcement to extend and redesignate TPS for Afghanistan allows us to continue to offer safety and protection to Afghan nationals who are unable to return to their country," DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement. "DHS will continue to support Afghan nationals through this temporary form of humanitarian relief." Extending TPS means that the estimated 3,100 already protected by prior designations are granted additional benefits until May 2025. The redesignation opens up to new applicants who arrived between March 2022 and Wednesday. DHS estimates it will open the program up to 14,600 additional Afghans. Afghans who were paroled into the United States as part of the evacuation from Afghanistan in 2021 can technically apply for TPS, but DHS said it encourages them to seek "more durable immigration pathways" for which they may be eligible than the more limited TPS. The move comes a day after a broader re-designation of Venezuela for TPS on Wednesday, which affects a much larger population of around 472,000 Venezuelans with a cut-off date of July 31 for eligibility. The re-designation of Venezuela had been called for by officials in New York and elsewhere, who have been overwhelmed with a surge of migrants who have traveled to those jurisdictions and are unable to work. It came hours after thousands of Venezuelans surged into Eagle Pass, Texas -- although the designation will not directly affect them. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dhs-announces-deportation-protections-work-permits-for-thousands-of-afghan-nationals Why stay in your own country and fight for it when you can come to the US and live high on the hog at the expense of the Americans tax dollars?? fedup
My timid wife is making news again. Ya just gotta love this woman. Marjorie Taylor Greene has announced she's drafting a "declaration of war" against Mexican drug cartels. Speaking with Charlie Kirk, the founder of the student conservative group Turning Point USA, on Real America's Voice on Thursday, the Georgia Republican complained of the "billions and billions" of American dollars going to help Ukraine fight Russia's invasion instead of defending the U.S.-Mexico border. "Charlie, today in Washington, D.C., we have President [Volodymyr] Zelensky came to the Capitol today, of course talking with leaders in Washington, wanting billions and billions more dollars, Americans' hard-earned tax dollars, to go to a war in Ukraine, defending Ukraine's border, while at the same time, Washington, D.C., is completely ignoring the invasion happening at our border," Greene said. She said the country was "under attack, and who's leading the attack [...] is the Mexican cartels." Newsweek contacted Greene's spokesperson for comment by email on Friday. Greene has long opposed American aid to Ukraine as well as criticized the Biden administration's border policies. Her statements on immigrants crossing the U.S. border, including comparing them to Russian forces invading Ukraine, have sparked outrage. "I'm announcing on your show that I would like Washington to realize who our real enemy is to the American people, who's responsible for 300 Americans dying every single day from fentanyl, who's responsible for a multi-billion dollar human trafficking and drug trafficking industry that directly affects the United States of America," she told Kirk. A strong willed woman for sure yet so many women hate her. Why??? Simple answer------they can't stand other women stealing their supposed thunder.
