I get what you are saying.  I have a little ways to go before I get to 70, and I sometimes say why should I worry because I've lived most of my life, so I'll be gone when it gets really bad.  But I can't really feel that way because if I do, it means I care nothing about my kids and potential grandkids and the lives they will lead.  I say the whole trouble is the moral breakdown of society.  When folks just do what feels good to them and not follow a moral code, we are gonna have trouble.  And there is so much of that going on.  And kids are being raised this way.  So it just gets worse.  When I was younger, there was still some sense of "We are all gonna have to answer to God for what we do."  Much less of that now.  Still, I never give up hope or trying to do what is right.  That's what I taught my kids and hope they took note.  I continue to pray for our country and leaders and people.  It is sad what this nation has become.  I wonder how much longer God will allow us to stand.  Remains to be seen.  If our nation would get on our knees and repent of our wrongdoings and seek God, he would hear us.  I know that for sure.  That's why there are so many calamities happening in the world with nature, storms, volcano's etc.  Wars, rumors of wars, etc.  More than ever before.  God is reaching out to us to get our attention so that we can run to Him for refuge and be saved and have more abundant lives on earth, as well as heaven when we die.  It's all in the Bible.  I hope folks think about that today.  And hear His voice before it is too late.   I do plan to vote in November, because I feel it is my duty.  I hope this election brings change for the good.  I'll continue to be positive and hope for the best.  And I will continue to do good to others and shine the light God gives.
