Yeah I wish Trump would have lead vs "deferring to the experts" on covid. I have a hard time forgetting that we were wearing masks under his leadership. I get that "public health" laws are at the state level, but Trump could have put the liberal state governors under duress to resist their temptation leverage the declared pandemic to justify tyranny.

I was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church, and I graduated from a Catholic school. I had the same or similar passion behind my Catholic faith, and I was well informed, and firmly believed in and defended the doctrines. This was until I started to objectively examine the history behind and the level of evidence supporting both Catholicism and Christianity. When you shared with us that you are Catholic, I was looking to share the exceedingly wonderful news of the God's redemption with either you or an onlooker while relating to your experience. Why do that in debate style? Cuz debating is fun!

Yeah I re-read the posts, and you are correct that you never offered to debate. I mis-read something that you wrote that lead me to believe that you declined my offer but later made an offer to debate.

It seems that I should have said "friendly debate". I only invited you to debate. There was noting that I said that should have lead you to anticipate that I wanted to debate in a judgmental manner. You might have missed the part where I said that a true Christian would not be judgmental. I gather that you have had the unfortunate experience of encountering judgmental Christians that quote Bible verses in an antagonistic manner to support their point(s). When people do that, they are likely failing to bring people to Christ. Anyway, if you care to debate in a friendly manner, please let me know.

A true Christian would not do what you described. I would not want to live near that person either! The 10 commandments were given to the nation of Israel, then are summarized and repeated by Jesus in the New Testament thereby fulfilling those of the Old Testament. However, God recognized that, by virtue of us being sinners, no one can perfectly obey the 10 Commandments, and are thereby in need of Gods perfect and perpetual Mercy and Grace that can only be found by the acceptance, faith and following of Jesus Christ!

Toward that, I promise you that knowing God and following Jesus would bring more freedom and truth into your life than anything else that you have pursued up until this point. Contrary to the world view, God wants us to be free!

I would want all my neighbors (and everyone's neighbors) to be true followers of Christ. One could reasonably assume that even an atheist would want the same. For example, imagine if everyone followed just 3 of the 10 commandments thereby never stealing, never telling a lie, and never killing anyone. Similarly, imagine if all your "neighbors" (since neighbors is the subject) followed the Biblical "Golden Rule" “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you". These are the kind "neighbors" I would want in my neighborhood and in everyone else's neighborhood.

Failure to love others is not the root of the issue as as the supposition in this meme suggests. Rather we are compelled to submit to the current woke ideology which(among many things) calls for us to relinquish our individuality, free speech, and Christian values while embrace numerous enigmatic group identities. Refusal to submit to to this sinful ideology is not at all to be equated to the failure to adhere to God's Holy Ordinance. Real justice is possible only when individuals have been justified in Christ, whereby we prioritize our identity in Christ over our belonging to a category or ethnicity. Members of the body of Christ should feel more at home in their Christian family than even in their own ethnicity!!! This is one of the of many ways that we love others as ourselves and this is the ultimate solution to healing our ever-growing divisions.
