  1. Yes, we all have reason to be on our guard because of all the past and recent events, but hopefully this is just what it seems to be.
  2. This has happened many times in the past. It used to be done on TV but I haven't seen it for quite a while. There's nothing to be done, it just has to be tested to make sure it's all working. Uh huh!

    HELP

Worse, there are a multitude of selfish and thieving people among us who use stupid/uneducated people as weapons or tools. Their only thought process is to take everything they can get from others. Whether they know it or not, they are being used by Satan to steal and destroy God's creation.
  4. You are absolutely right. There is no way to find out who the real bad guys are, so go to the source of the hatred and greed, it's Satan. Since he's not imprinted (yet) on anyone's forehead, "by their works you will know them". This is why we will lose this battle but win the war. You have to know the real enemy.
  5. That is absolutely true. We're having them come to do a couple of smaller jobs that we can't get anyone else to touch. We need the fan above the kitchen stove that was installed years ago when we remodeled the kitchen to actually go through the kitchen ceiling and up to wherever it's supposed to vent. It goes to the ceiling and just stops so I can't use it at all. Every time I make hamburgers inside and really want to brown them, the whole living/kitchen area is filled with smoke and smells of beef for the entire day. We also need an extension added to our wood stove chimney above the roof line to improve the draft. I'm betting these guys know exactly how to do that. There are lots more small jobs that hubby doesn't want to take on anymore at the age of 75, and since our son moved out, we have to hire everything done. I hate leaving jobs unfinished because it's "too late in the year to do it now"! I'm going to keep these guys busy as long as my saved money holds out and smile all the way!

At the petition signing, we had a gentleman rush up to sign it because he was excited to do so. He commented that he has spent his life as a Forensic Auditor, working for the government and businesses from the largest to the smallest. His comment on the DuBois situation is that he would never touch it because it's a nightmare. I would guess that Nasuti feels the same.
  7. We are not at over 930 signatures but hopefully we will be able to continue to add more till the date for presenting the petition. If you can assemble a group at a specific location (a club meeting of just a casual get together) call and I will deliver the petition for signing. Contact Cheryl at gardenladyx@gmail.com or 814-590-9010 to set a date and time.
  8. A local team of Amish workers is looking for Saturday jobs. One day or several Saturdays in a row. Call 814-481-3203 and leave a message.

The entire mess will be a daily nightmare till it gets settled regardless of who is involved, and those involved right now will certainly not be fun to be working with. Get the point now? Some of us can sympathize with his situation. No one wants to work in a stressful situation, and this one is beyond stressful regardless of who they would be working with..
  10. We are over 800 and have more to add. Please find a petition location so we can all take a break at 1000.
  11. The country is finally recuperating from his last nonsense. Time to knock it down to size again!!

I just quit my job specifically because of some of the people I worked with who acted like children or a nasty ladies group. I loved the job but the nonsense ruined the rest of my life at home. I don't blame him one bit for preserving the calm in his life. You sacrifice way beyond what you are paid and get harassed and belittled the entire time. Only a few people are strong enough to deal with it, and they give up so much to serve us. When they do a good job, and work hard, money is only part of what they deserve, they deserve acknowledgement and respect.
  13. This is all in Trump's election and administration plan. Vote Trump.
  14. Recommendations on desk top computer for older woman a little familiar with Windows, likes regular family/individual type games, puzzles, lots of pictures, e-mail, currently on Comcast, needs WORD only, not all of the Office Suite programs, wants available local tech support. Please send a private message back to me. I have been working on her computer but it is kaput! Her kids will be giving her this for Christmas or earlier and I will send them your suggestions.
  15. I think we are close to 700 now but I have not reviewed them this evening to be sure.
  16. We have almost 600 signatures. Hopefully we will have all 1000 by this weekend. We will continue collecting signatures but will not be sitting out at tables collecting them once we reach our initial goal. If you want to sign, and cannot find a petition location, please give me a call and I'll make sure someone contacts you.
  17. Treasure Lake near the Post Office area will be added at some time on Tuesday, August 29.
  18. It's Faith's problem, no one else's and everyone should be fighting for the chance to take care of her instead of worrying about their own butts which probably work just fine!!! I stand whole heartedly behind the people at Johns Hopkins. They could not have been better to me.
  19. She needs a heated greenhouse so she can go outside in the winter and soak up some rays every day!
  20. For myself, never again, no way, period. If anyone else wants to wear a mask for anything but a bank robbery, then go for it.

  22. Don't complain. At least it's getting done! Be grateful for even inconvenient blessings.
  23. The beginning of the answer? 1. Pause the Consolidation where it stands right now. Note I did not say STOP!! Whether or not that is a good idea is yet to be shown. The truthful and current facts would be a wonderful place to start. 2. Spend the time during a PAUSE to determine the real financial, legal and consequences of past decisions on the future of each entity involved. Then with that knowledge, choose to go forward or go back to basics as individual communities. 3. Ignorance of past and present circumstances will lead us into more trouble down the road. 4. Would you buy a home or property, sign a contract or any sort of financial and legal dealing without knowing all of the facts and where they will land you in the future? Ever heard of buyer's remorse, or hear someone talk about how they decided to take a chance and just go for it only to land in hot water? How do successful buyers win? They look before they leap and make sure the info they got is in writing. DuBois and Sandy have never gotten that assurance. 5. Have you ever considered jumping over a solid fence before looking to see where you can land on the other side? Would you let your kids do it, risking their future? 5. Are you willing, based on the past and present dealings, to risk your potentially better future on a gamble? What will it hurt to stop, pause, look and listen before it's too late? 6. Have we learned from the past? 7. Please find and sign the Sandy Petition to ask the judge to Pause the Consolidation till the rest of the story is known? Then depending on what is discovered and how it is to be dealt with in the future, make an informed decision on how to proceed. 8. We are looking for 1000 or more signatures from Sandy Township residents. Currently we have approximately 250. I would recommend that DuBois residents start a petition of their own to Pause the Consolidation as soon as possible. We have had many DuBois residents ask to sign it, but the way it is written, we cannot do that. 9. The petition should be ready to hand to the judge in the first week of October before the actual hearing. 10. This is our chance to potentially correct a mistaken or even illegal decision. Help us get time to figure it out correctly BEFORE it's too late. 11. Keep an eye out here for locations at which you can find the petition to sign it.
  24. There are a million details to think of in a well functioning chicken coop. A small door for them to go out in the morning is good. My chickens have a square 2 x 2 roost for their feet. I change it out for a second one every time the coop is cleaned for one that has stood on end in the direct sun to sanitize it since the last time the coop was cleaned. Be sure the windows face the rising sun in the morning to wake them up. That also encourages them to go to bed earlier in the evening. Always close the door right after they go in for the night. Right now, mine go in at 8:15 but it gets earlier every evening. Is the nest designed to have the eggs roll away from the laying box? That could be so they can't eat their eggs. I have one egg eater (bad habit) and that nest box is always a sticky mess that needs a lot of cleaning.
  25. I've been very impressed with the attitude of the people who have stopped to sign the petition. We even get people from DuBois who are hoping they can sign it also, but as it is written, only Sandy Township Residents are permitted to sign this specific petition. Everyone seems to understand that this is the bext thing for both entities, a chance to sort out the problems BEFORE a more complicated situation is entered into. No one in their right mind would buy a house that hasn't been title searched for true ownership and for financial/legal issues before they take on the responsibilities and debts of the former owner. Al that is being asked, is time to get all of the facts out in the open so the citizens know EXACTLY what they are going to have to deal with.
