Isn't it wonderful to have new friends, just like that!

Yes it is. I even made a few videos of our new stray and our dogs as test videos for a youtube page I started. haha Just thought what the heck my Granddaughter wanted me to start one so I did even though there is not much content as I am learning how to use the gopro camera properly and editing which is the most challenging. I have uploaded several videos just to see how they looked. Soon as I can I plan on uploading my garden adventures and chickens plus local car shows. I did go to Jeff-Tech and videoed but I was a little to close to the cars and I moved the camera around to quick. I hope the next show I get better at capturing the cars etc. Then I can post them on Youtube and Rumble where I have the same page and name. Just need to get some subscribers to actually watch them when I do haha

Just got word on one in Brookville on May 16.  Mine is finally scheduled!  Yay!  Then we can let her out of the woodshop to enjoy her life.

I just saw this topic tonight. As I was reading down through I was going to suggest the vet in Brookville to you. I am not sure if you are talking about North Fork Veterinary Clinic or Brookville Veterinary Hospital. We use North Fork now and that is where we got our stray cat neutered. Both are great clinics.

Just amazes me at the callousness of people who drop animals off like this. There needs to better communication to people that they can take an animal to a shelter rather than drop them off in the woods or at the end of a dead end street. They will not get in trouble by taking them to a shelter but will by abandoning them.

If they cannot take them they will let you know. I know in my case there were several cats dropped off by a red side by side at the end of our road from what the neighbor down there said. He heard the machine and her a lady yelling get out get out. He saw the cats  around when he went to investigate but being an elderly gentleman there was no trying to catch them. Ours just happened to make it back down the road and my granddaughter fed it her pizza she was eating. Long story a bit shorter and he stuck around and made an impression on me and now Tiger has a permanent home.

He is more like a dog though haha. He will follow me around the yard and when I call his name he comes running each and every time.

  3. They finished up. I still have some work to do. Putting the potato garden back in and the cattle panel trellis. I am putting down some weed fabric first.

I threw some clover seeds down up top but I may just go and have small stone put in and save from mowing.

Now there will be no more weeds in her way and no getting those awful burrs stuck all over. They were really terrible.

  4. Before Pics. So after calling several unreliable, un-professional landscape people last year I guess my money wasn't green enough for them,  I found someone this year who had this done three weeks after he looked at it. If you want to know who not to call then just message me.

ASHINGTON — Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) stunned attendees at a high school solar eclipse event Monday by claiming the rock-solid moon is a “planet” that is “made up mostly of gases” — before adding she still wants to be “first in line” to learn how to live there.

The former top Democrat on the House Science Committee’s space subcommittee badly botched elementary lunar facts while speaking during the gathering at Booker T. Washington High School in Houston.

“You’ve heard the word ‘full moon.’ Sometimes you need to take the opportunity just to come out and see a full moon is that complete rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gases,” Jackson Lee, 74, told teenage pupils who gathered on a sports field ahead of the rare celestial event.

“And that’s why the question is why or how could we as humans live on the moon? Are the gases such that we could do that?” the congresswoman said.

“The sun is a mighty powerful heat, but it’s almost impossible to go near the sun. The moon is more manageable.”

Jackson Lee made a series of other questionable statements, including saying the moon, which reflects the sun’s light, gives off “unique light and energy” and misstating the scientific reason for the eclipse.

“You have the energy of the moon at night,” she told the kids.

The solar eclipse was happening because the Earth was unusually close to the moon, she said — though, in fact, the eclipse was the result of the alignment of the sun and moon.

“I don’t think we’ve been on the moon the last 50 years. So we will be landing on the moon. What you’ll see today will be the closest distance that the moon has ever been in the last 20 years. Which means that’s why they will shut the light down because they will be close to the Earth,” she said of the eclipse alignment.

“I don’t know about you, I want to be first in line to know how to live and to be able to survive on the moon,” Jackson Lee added. “That’s another planet which we’re going to see shortly.”

Jackson Lee is notorious in DC for high staff turnover because of her allegedly unusual and abusive demands of staffers.

In a statement to The Post on Tuesday, she admitted she was wrong to describe the moon, which has virtually no atmosphere, as being composed mostly of gas to the schoolkids.

“Obviously I misspoke and meant to say the sun, but as usual, Republicans are focused on stupid things instead of stuff that really matters. What can I say, though, foolish thinkers lust for stupidity!” she said of GOPers who swiftly criticized her glaring gaffes.

“They should be focusing on issues like prenatal care, building more affordable housing, and more reduction of student loan debt as President Joe Biden is,” Jackson Lee said. “Also, I care more about these children who would not have experienced the eclipse in this enthusiastic manner. And, I care more about protecting the rights of women and children than engaging in this kind of senseless dialogue!”

Jackson Lee has not deleted from her X page the footage of herself providing the miseducation to local students.

The video went viral after it was clipped and reposted by Houston-area radio host Kenny Webster.

“As a local Houston talk radio personality, she supplies us with a never-ending vault of content. She’s better than satire,” Webster told The Post.

  6. I just saw an ad from a democrat PA politician named Jared Solomon looking to be the next AG. I actually threw up in my mouth a little watching it. He was with his mother and wow all I can say is there is no way I would vote for this soy boy. I bet he still lives in his mothers basement.
