  1. It most likely is a dwarf tree. it is a healthy tree just doesn't produce any apples. If I had some space I would like to plant several more but really dont have the room yet. Although I have been looking at small farmettes and homes with some acreage. If I can find a nice place especially if it has a pond I will be moving.
  2. Not sure what kind it is. The neighbors have a nice tree and there is one in the lot next to them and they both produce apples. They are good size trees also. Mine is still rather small. I was going to see if the neighbors would let me get a few of their apples since they dont use them and I came home one day and someone had picked them all already LOL
  3. I have a apple tree inthe yard it has been there 12 years and I think I may have gotten one apple off it in those twelve years. Maybe we need to trim it as well. My wife did it a few years back but still no apples .
  4. Bon If you need it cut down let me know I can do it for you.
  5. we swear by them as well. We usually pout them around the house when we can get them.
  6. LOL wish I would have read Steve's post first HAHA

  9. Hey Bon if it gets lonely it can come visit the hundred thousand or so spiders I have at work. Took theses pics a couple weeks ago at work when someone didn't believe me about all the spiders there. BTW what kind of camera did you use. I have a nice camera but it never takes close up pics it keeps refocusing or is quite blurry. I tried getting close ups of these spiders especiallty where there were a a half dozen or so bunched up but it would not take them without getting blurry of course it could be the operator. I must need to put it on a certain setting. Gues I should read the instructions sometime.
  10. Is there such a thing as a bad mountain pie combo
  11. The deer have been been eating the tops of the potatoes we had planted but my wife started spraying them with some sort of blood based deer repellent and they have left them alone. They are busy eating the apples on the ground across the street. They are there everyday. The rest of the garden is fenced off and momma deer hasnt jumped it although anything that creps out through the wire they nibble off and so far no bugs or blight this year but the season is not done yet. I am just hoping the tomatoes start to ripen before they die off. The plants are starting to but there are lots of tomatoes Hopefully they will start to turn soon.
  12. No problem with anything this year in my garden. It is doing great.
  13. not the height just the climb. It would take 30 to 45 minutes to get up there if not more and I dont want to find out which one. There is no elevator LOL Walking up to the roof would be a good work out but I would rather hop the elevator up although I have walked up it many times. .
  14. Should have let me know Bon I would have went to the roof at the Plant and waved to you because i sure as heck wasnt climbing all the way to the top of the stack LOL
  15. Even choked up an old burly guy like me. WOW! Please take a minute to read this adorable story! ---> Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so, and she dictated these words: Dear God, Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her. Love, Meredith We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had. Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note: Dear Meredith, Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I recognized her right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find. I am wherever there is love. Love, God

  20. i obviously bought way to many plants this year. I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to peppers and tomatoes. I have 80 tomatoes(6 varieties) and 184 pepper plants( how many different well you name it I got it LOL). Now where to plant them all. I got all the tomatoes in and 32 of the peppers. I didnt want to start until the fence was up. The deer have already ate the tops off the sweet potatoes and nibbled the strawberry plants down. They haven't touch the horseradish, rubbard or onions.
  21. wow those are some great pics and plants and that apple pie mmmm mmmmm
