  1. I know all that I need to know, about my forefathers and foremothers.
  2. I'd rather rent a bunny. I prefer chocolate eggs, especially this time of year. Those creamy peanut butter ones are especially good.
  3. Interesting.....I could even hear tho movie projector running!
  4. So sorry, Etsaunt. Dilly looks like two Shih Tsu's in our family.. She lived a long happy life.
  5. Are you sure it wasn't a sheep in elks clothing? I'm just glad the kid wasn't still on the swing.
  6. I tried it. Make sure the eggs are HARD boiled, or they will fall apart. I used a pickle jar, with a screw on lid. It works, though not as good as the demonstration. Maybe I used the wrong kind if eggs.
  7. That's a great idea....I love egg salad....hate to peel the eggs....
  8. Wednesday night at the Avenue theatre was LUCKY {like bingo}.night. Everyone got a few LUCKY cards at the box office, with your movie ticket. Before the movie started,.or half way through, a big rolling board was rolled out onto the stage, and numbers called until someone yelled LUCKY !. A lady named Mrs. Bojalad conducted the LUCKY session..I think she was related to the owners of the theatre, the Marlin Way family.{who also built and owned the Highway Drive In Theatre}.... There were maybe 10 or 15 winners a night. The winner selected a numbered envelope hanging on the board for a prize, usually $10 to $25 dollars. {not a bad prize, then}...They frequently gave a prize, maybe a cup or saucer, or even a plate, etc. as a lure to get people in..The theatre was usually very full...Those are very happy memories of a much simpler time.
  9. I believe you are thinking of the Avenue Theater....It had a large stage. I don't remember the Pershing theater , formerly the Harris Theater, having a stage. It was a movie theater only. A third theater, the Carleton Theater, was on Long Ave. on or near the site of the historical society. The Civic Concert Association had their programs at the Avenue theater, and they had dance groups, orchestral groups, opera singers, etc. as their programs. As far as I know, they are still having programs at the High school. They had four programs a season.
  10. I found the perfect toy for my dogs....The large dog food bag. It is tough, they can't shred it...It is big enough....It makes a "crinkle" noise they love...It is colorful......They can wrestle with it.....AND ..it is FREE...when you buy the dog food, of course...
  11. My two Lhasa's had two beds like Bo Bo's until they ripped them to shreds, with stuffing all over like a snow storm. Now they have only their furry blankets to sleep on. Tough Luck, guys.
  12. Spray them with super hold hair spray....It makes their little wings stick together, and they do a nose dive...
  13. If Bigfoot had any guts, and wanted to gain some creds, he'd be over in the Poconos looking for the cop killer.. That would convince me beyond doubt.
  14. Kidding...I always wanted to pick them, but never knew anybody who knew which ones to get. I love mushrooms. Is this the only time of year to pick them?
  15. Toxic??....Are they ....wadda ya call em...Magic mushrooms?...
  16. All the better to hear you with, my dear.....
  17. Isn't that an anaconda the duck is standing on??
  18. That's much more of a story than I would have imagined. Thanks Bon.
  19. Very interesting....Thanks ..
  20. Does anyone remember, or remember hearing of, the "Lobo" wolves at Kane?...In the 40's/50's someone had a few in a makeshift display. They were a minor tourist attraction. I vaguely remember seeing them once.
  21. "That's a good question"...Like politicians say when they don't know the answer....Is that some paper currency laying there?
  22. It's great training for the Broad Jump, though.
