  1. A New York middle school is apologizing after serving students with a meal on the first day of Black History Month that was deemed to be culturally insensitive. Administrators at Nyack Middle School say that the hot lunch menu was changed by the vendor without their knowledge on February 1st, the first day of Black History Month, to include chicken and waffles with a watermelon dessert which the school’s principal called an "unfortunate situation", The Journal News reported. "We are extremely disappointed by this regrettable situation and apologize to the entire Nyack community for the cultural insensitivity displayed by our food service provider," Nyack Middle School Principal David Johnson said in a statement. https://www.foxnews.com/us/new-york-school-food-vendor-apologize-serving-chicken-waffles-first-day-black-history-month

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) announced on Thursday that the panel would be opening an investigation into White House climate czar John Kerry for high-level negotiations with the Chinese Communist Party related to climate. Comer informed Kerry of the investigation in a letter sent on Thursday, seeking information from the the special presidential envoy for climate in the Biden administration. The letter comes after Comer previously requested access to documents related to Kerry's negotiations with the Chinese government but did not receive any materials, according to the committee chairman. "To date, you have failed to respond to any of our requests," Comer wrote. "Yet, you continue to engage in activities that could undermine our economic health, skirt congressional authority, and threaten foreign policy under the guise of climate advocacy." "The Committee requests documents and information to understand your role and provide necessary transparency over the SPEC and its activities," he added. "As a member of the President’s cabinet, you should be representing the United States’ interests. Your statements, however, consistently show disregard for American national security and taxpayer dollars."

  6. Global green energy company Siemens Gamesa reported Thursday that it had lost a staggering $967 million during the three-month period from between October to December. The Germany-based company, which dubs itself as "the global leader in offshore power generation," noted the wind industry has faced various unfavorable pressures leading to negative growth in recent months and years, in its earnings report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2023 released Thursday morning. The company added that governments would need to further assist the industry to ensure future positive growth. "The negative development in our service business underscores that we have much work ahead of us to stabilize our business and return to profitability," Siemens Gamesa CEO Jochen Eickholt said in a statement. "The beginning of fiscal year 2023 saw a further increase in global wind demand prospects for the next ten years, but further governmental action is needed to close the gap between ambitious targets and actual installations," the company added in its release. It said the Inflation Reduction Act, the $739 billion climate and tax bill President Biden signed in August, and other European Union actions would help its business, but that those measured weren't enough. Siemens Gamesa stated that it is facing headwinds that include slow permitting, electric grid constraints and regulatory uncertainty. Such market conditions are, in turn, causing "sizeable losses" in the wind business, employment destruction and investment constraint. Overall, Siemens Gamesa's losses reported Thursday represented a more than 100% increase in losses compared to the same period last year, according to the company. International green groups, though, have repeatedly warned that wind development is falling far short of what is needed to transition from fossil fuels to green energy. A report on offshore wind from the Global Wind Energy Council noted that while a record 21.1 gigawatts of offshore wind was connected around the world in 2021, that figure fell far short of what is needed to reach net-zero. And the International Energy Agency said 70 to 80 gigawatts of offshore wind must be installed annually by 2050 to transition from fossil fuel dependence. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/massive-green-energy-company-reports-1-billion-losses-calls-further-governmental-action See people, they can't even get their dream off the ground let alone finish it by 2050. The truth is that the most serious threat to Black America is Progressive America. And as we step into Black History Month, this is a threat, upon reflection, that I realize is no way new but instead one that has been a constant throughout the course of American history. It was the left that founded the Ku Klux Klan. It was the left that fought to preserve the institution of slavery. It was the left that sought to relegate my Black great-grandparents to the back of the bus. And it was the left that founded Planned Parenthood — an institution responsible for the extermination of millions of Black unborn babies. And while the left denigrates leaders like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for banning so-called Black History, this is the Black history that the left doesn’t want young Black men like me to know. And the racism of the left hasn’t changed, instead, it’s only gotten worse. While those on the left are quick to blame so-called White supremacy for the events that took place in Memphis, what they are less eager to point out is that Memphis is a Democrat stronghold: with a Democrat mayor, a Democrat City Council, and a Democrat-led police department. CLICK HERE TO GET THE OPINION NEWSLETTER What they’re even less eager to discuss is the state of Black Americans unfortunate enough to live in a city under Democratic rule. Just look at Chicago, where 80% of homicide victims are black. Or Baltimore, where 77% of high school students can only read at elementary levels. Progressive policies haven’t just hurt Black America; they have decimated it. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP What I learned about the left, I didn’t learn in school, at my university, or in the curriculum of "Critical Race Theory." I was left to learn the truth on my own. But unfortunately, the rest of Black America often never does. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/this-is-biggest-threat-black-america-hint-its-not-police
  9. Then there's the big twist: Hunter Biden was attempting to aid another dissolute Biden - his cousin Caroline, the daughter of Joe's brother James. The rental application form was an attempt to gain a luxury apartment for Caroline, who pleaded guilty in 2017 to buying more than $100,000 worth of makeup with a stolen credit card. She wanted to serve her probation in California. She would also fail the "never been charged" question. The application was not approved. On top of that, Caroline Biden wouldn't accept a job there from a Biden donor with an $85,000-a-year salary, with a guaranteed 10 percent bonus and stock options. She called that "below minimum wage in California after taxes" and demanded a job for no "less than $180,000." Pampered heirs abound in the Biden family, and it's not surprising they supported each other Text messages from the laptop show Caroline repeatedly referred to Hunter as her "partner in crime," and complained "our family's sick" and she had "no relationship with my nuclear family," since "the majority of my family thinks I'm nuts." In one reply, Hunter told Caroline not to worry about the job thing. "You are crazy im crazy and two crazies make ... double the cray I guess. It'll be fun we may just blow up a house and rob banks together." None of this juicy messaging is grist for The Washington Post or PolitiFact. They don't seem to be interested in what has happened with Caroline Biden, or James Biden, or Frank Biden, or Ashley Biden -- unless, of course, they are wronged by a conservative journalist. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/big-twist-hunter-biden-apartment-application-media-ignored

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a plan to protect the right to own a gas stove in his state, including a plan to exempt them from sales taxes, reported Fox News on Wednesday — and he made clear that he is staking this as a culture war fight against the Biden administration. "I think it needs to be done, no tax permanently on gas stoves," he said in his address unveiling his budget proposal. "They want your gas stove, and we're not going to let that happen." There's just one problem with that: very few Florida homes use gas stoves at all. In fact, according to the Energy Information Administration, 92 percent of Florida households use electric or induction stoves — the highest percent of any state in America. In general, gas stoves and appliances are more common in states with older housing stock, like California, New York, and Illinois — nationwide, 70 percent of households use some form of electric stove.

  14. The number of people actually in the middle class has dwindled. Sixty-one percent of U.S. adults were considered middle class in 1971, dropping to just 50% in 2021, according to an analysis from Pew Research Center. Fewer Americans consider themselves to be middle class than they did before the Great Recession.Nov 2, 2022 Middle-class U.S. families have been treading water for decades—weighed down by stalled income growth and rising prices—but the runaway inflation that has emerged from the pandemic is sending more than a ripple of frustration through their ranks. The pandemic seemed at first as if it might offer a chance to catch up; they kept their jobs as the service sector laid off millions, their wages started climbing at a faster rate as companies struggled to find workers, and they began saving more than they had for decades. About one-third of middle-income Americans felt that their financial situation had improved a year into the pandemic, according to Pew Research, as they quarantined at home while benefiting from stimulus checks, child tax credits, and the pause of federal student-loan payments. But 18 months later, they increasingly suspect that any sense of financial security was an illusion. They may have more money in the bank, but being middle class in America isn’t only about how much you make; it’s about what you can buy with that money. Some people measure that by whether a family has a second refrigerator in the basement or a tree in the yard, but Richard Reeves, director of the Future of the Middle Class Initiative at the Brookings Institution, says that what really matters is whether people feel that they can comfortably afford the “three H’s”—housing, health care, and higher education. In the past year alone, home prices have leaped 20% and the cost of all goods is up 8.5%. Families are paying $3,500 more this year for the basic set of goods and services that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) follows than they did last year. Average hourly earnings, by contrast, are down 2.7% when adjusted for inflation. That squeeze has left many who identify as middle class reaching to afford the three H’s, especially housing. In March, U.S. consumer sentiment reached its lowest level since 2011, according to the University of Michigan’s Surveys of Consumers, and more households said they expected their finances to worsen than at any time since May 1980. https://time.com/6171292/middle-class-falling-behind-economy/ But 18 months later, In the past year alone And just who has been running this country in the last 18 months plus??????

  17. JAMES COMER: Nothing that Joe Biden's done with respect to mishandling these classified documents is normal. Take into consideration that he's also being investigated for influence peddling with our adversaries around the world, and it's even more concerning. Look, more information comes out every day where his son, especially, as well as his two brothers, have had shady business dealings with our adversaries around the world, and part of what they would do when they would make a pitch to these shady characters in these foreign countries is prove to them that they actually had direct access to their brother and that they had direct access to people at the highest levels of our federal government. So when we learned that Joe Biden had classified documents from all over the place and that Hunter Biden especially lived in his house where he had those classified documents, we became extra concerned, and that's why this it this investigation is of the utmost importance for the United States Congress as well as the American people.
  18. SPENDING Published January 29, 2023 8:00am EST Dems propose 8.7% pay raise for federal workers to make up for COVID, Trump Federal workers are the government's 'greatest asset,' the Democratic sponsor of the bill claimed House Democrats proposed legislation this week that would give more than 2 million federal workers an 8.7% pay raise in 2024, a raise they say is needed because they suffered through both the COVID pandemic and the Trump administration. "For years now, federal employees have risked their health and safety working on the frontlines of this pandemic," said Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., who sponsored the bill. "They were subjected to the Trump Administration’s cruel personal attacks, unsafe work environments, pay freezes, government shutdowns, sequestration cuts, furloughs, and mindless across-the-board hiring freezes." President Biden signed an executive order late last year giving federal workers a 4.6% pay raise in 2023, an act that Congress chose not to override in the $1.7 trillion spending bill it passed at the end of the year. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dems-propose-8-7-pay-raise-for-federal-workers-to-make-up-for-covid-trump There is NOT ONE adult among these useless voted for cry babies. ADAM SCHIFF Published January 26, 2023 10:06pm EST Rep. Matt Gaetz introduces 'PENCIL' resolution barring Adam Schiff from accessing classified information Schiff's position allowed him access to classified materials including those relating to Trump's first impeachment and the January 6th attack. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., introduced the "Preventing Extreme Negligence with Classified Information Licenses," or PENCIL Resolution, on Thursday that would bar Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., from accessing any classified information. "The resolution expresses the sense of the U.S. House of Representatives that Congressman Adam Schiff should not have access to classified information, should be investigated by the House Ethics Committee, and should have his comments made during any proceeding of Congress regarding Russian Collusion and the Trump campaign be officially struck from the record," Gaetz's office said in a statement. "Every member of Congress can access classified information by virtue of their election. Only the most egregious actions would warrant removal, and Adam Schiff has undoubtedly crossed the Rubicon," Gaetz told Fox News Digital. "Democrats have willfully ignored the national security consequences of members like Schiff misrepresenting and leaking classified information to the press." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/rep-matt-gaetz-introduces-pencil-resolution-barring-adam-schiff-from-accessing-classified-information
