Joe Scarnati is currently the President pro tempore of the Pennsylvania State Senate. He is originally from Brockway and I don't remember seeing where he made any statements about the accident.

Supports my point.  Don't you think?  Matt Gabler represents Elk County and I don't recall any statements from him either.  If I'm wrong I apologize in advance for throwing Matt under the bus..

From the very beginning many of us have feared that it will all be settled with a fine and everything would be swept under a rug. I know that the employees are afraid of losing their jobs, no union-no protection, PA is an at will state. And these folks have families and aren't earning a lot of money as it is. The whole mess is just so sad because a life was lost, and it could have been many more.

I understand what yet saying but there's not many managers around that would go to bat for their employees. To me the biggest reason for union is unsafe work places. Around here good paying jobs are few and far between.  So just leaving isn't much of an option when yer feeding a family.

We pay for OSHA, but I don't expect them or any other agency to prevent all deaths no more than an alarm on a resident will keep them from falling or being strangled in a bedrail. I hope their is a monetary judgement.  I hope that the people who were negligent are fired and face criminal charges.   Nevertheless, garbage will continue to be collected and disposed of, and accidents like this will continue to happen as long as the financial punishments are so embarrassingly small.

You are correct. However, the fine seems insufficient to dissuade others from such practice in the future.

My SIL & I went to Hyndman today to get SOB her puppy today. Was nice ride down, left around 7:30 this morning & got there at 10.  SOB named her puppy Midge, she is beautiful!!! Also a well behaved puppy in the car, she slept 99% of the time.

They also had a long haired weenie. I sent the pic to my hubby of her, but we had to go towards MD to get cell reception down there. Finally we were able to send the pic. We turned around and was about 1/2 hour from Hyndman when I got a text from him ... OMG!!! Next thing I know the phone is ringing & Amy answered it for me, I heard him say "I want that dog!!"  Long story short, he text me when we were in Roaring Springs & asks how many dogs were in the car, I said 3, we had Wiener Dog with us. So we also got a new weenie today also. She is gorgeous!!! She is NOT like her sister, she is trouble in the car!! lol

Plants in raised beds are OK at best, lagging behind normal growth.  Peppers and tomatoes in open garden did not appreciate growing in a  pond and are stunted....now adding some humus and fertilizer and spraying to deter blight.  If this continues, will plant rice next year.

I think he just misjudged the clearance.     The last pic looks like he is going door to door trying to return it.

Our German Shepherds (rest in peace) loved the Winter and the colder the better. They would go outside and lay in the snow on the coldest days of the year and would stay out there all day if we let them. The male laid outside one day we were having a pretty good snow storm and we couldn't find him. Well the goof ball finally decided to get up when we were calling him and he was covered with snow and looked at us like what the heck I was right here the whole time.
    Man I miss those two!!
Me and the wife have been talking quite a bit and it sounds like it's time to have a new family member or two.
