The judge did credit the governor with good intentions. It should be remembered, however, that the pathway to Hell is paved with good intentions.

    UPMC successful Covid study

Great news! A long way to go as they only tested lab mice/rats. Also, they are making the antibody administered via nasal spray.

From what I've read...it's because it was Nancy Pelosi's driveway. Otherwise, if it were in San Francisco he would have been ignored. Further, he videoed himself in the act and stated it was Nancy's driveway. We can draw our on conclusions on how/why he was arrested.

Good for the VFW! I would be happy to give them my business!

Just a few thoughts. In my line of work, our team works outside, so we have been fortunate not to get shut down in any way. We were considered an "essential" industry. We were only down a few weeks in March, then right back to work. But I do feel for the businesses who have been really adversely affected by this. They shouldn't be shut down or running at less than full capacity. Anyone who is concerned about getting infected should just stay away or wear their mask and go in and out quickly to lessen their chances of infection. We can't let hardworking folks lose their livelyhoods. And another thought. I know our Governor and Health Secretary have made some errors. However, I think they have been trying to do their best. I don't think they are on a power trip. They are responsible for all of us. They didn't get a dress rehearsal. I don't agree with some things our Governor and Health Secretary have done prior to covid and now, but I won't put them down on social media and say things about their policies, gender, clothing, mother, etc. That's just ignorant when folks do that. If we don't like it, we can voice our concerns to our state reps and senators so they can make change. I have been seeing excellent performance from our reps and senators who are fighting for us. I think our President and other federal officials are doing their best, too. Like I said, they didn't get a dress rehearsal. We all need to work together and change what needs changed by going through the proper channels. Taking pot shots at folks on social media doesn't get the job done, just creates more havoc; and we don't need it. One more thing, I don't mind wearing a mask. I have a few health concerns for myself and family, so I want to protect. I wish others would wear one, too. I think it would help a lot. However, I can't make them. If I'm concerned about certain people or situations, I just stay away.

    State Police Searching for Escapee

I agree with what you say although I never mentioned work release or the jail. haha I was talking about releasing the info that he had escaped to the media and the public.

    Paradox

    State Police Searching for Escapee

Work release is determined by the courts and probation, not the jail. The jail has little to no say even when they do not believe certain people are safe or might be a flight risk. That's our awesome judicial system making those calls.

The state still has time to appeal to 3rd Circuit for an en banc ruling. ...which is a panel of 3rd circuit judges. A simple majority finding overturns or re-enforces the single court ruling. I think the state has 30 days to appeal. Of which, the challenged ruling may be stayed, allowing Wolf's policies to continue.

Dr. Meade feels that Faith will only need 18 weeks of chemo! She also said that it is extremely rare that the chemo will shrink the tumor to the point that surgery will not be needed........ But we know Faith, and we know how she defies the odds and Proves there is Power in Prayer! Our Faith can move mountains! So prayer warriors, pray! Pray that God uses his power through her chemo to smite this tumor! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Faith did not have the eye surgery today. The chemo can mess with her eyes & make her go cross eyed, so that has been put on hold for now. Faith came out of surgery about 2 hours ago. Everything went good, no problems at all. They got the port put in, & tomorrow morning Faith Marie will receive her 1st chemo treatment. She already drank a bottle of formula, the dr’s were very happy with that!!

I went on an out of state trip. Many friends and family did likewise. 0 cases resulted from those trips. In fact, I'm leaving on a business trip in a few hours. I'll put money on "not getting covid".

How the smoke from the West Coast fires is affecting East Coast fall weather by StormWatch7 Meteorologist Brian van de Graaff | WJLA Staff Monday, September 14th 202 Vo 4 VIEW ALL PHOTOS Milky Sky Over Dulles From Western Wildfires WASHINGTON (WJLA) — As often is the case this time of year on the East Coast, you would expect a deep blue clear sky behind a crisp fall-like cold front. However, as the front continues to sink south, exiting low clouds have given way to a milky overcast sky. But why? Geo Color Visible Satellite Courtesy Colorado State University Believe it or not, that opaqueness in the sky is due to wildfires thousand of miles away. We’ve all heard by now about the devastating fires along the West Coast from California, north to Oregon. Those fires are massive and spew smoke way up into the atmosphere where it gets picked up in the jet stream. Now, the smoke is up above 20-25,000 feet, so don’t expect to smell it. However, up there the jet stream, which steers our weather patterns, will continue to carry the smoke east, around a ridge of high pressure in the plains and right into our region. Curren Jetstream Pattern With the western wet season still weeks away, and the massive fires continuing to burn out of control, there is not really any way to determine how long the smoke will impact the East Coast. There are models that we can study that predict how the smoke will continue to interact with our weather pattern, and they show periods of high smoke infiltration at times for at least the next week or so. Smoke 5-Day Forecast Volume 100% Smoke 5-Day Forecast So, while we have cool high pressure overhead and cool, dry air for the next few days, we can’t count on a crystal-clear blue sky as long as the smoke continues to be ushered our way. DuBois Man Accused of Setting Decatur Twp. Fire to Get Revenge on Foster Parents by Gant Team Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Crime, Local News, Top Stories 0 0Share on FacebookShare on Twitter DECATUR TOWNSHIP – A DuBois man is accused of setting his foster parents’ garage/shed on fire in an effort to get revenge against them. Michael George Bickle, 23, is charged by Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Russell Stewart with 13 felony counts of arson, four felony counts of reckless burning or exploding and two felony counts of criminal mischief He’s also charged with three misdemeanor counts of retaliation against witness/victim, six misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person and two summary counts of dangerous burning. The charges stem from a structure fire that occurred July 28 in the 100 block of Albrights Ranch Drive in Decatur Township, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed with the office of Magisterial District Judge Jerome Nevling. Stewart was requested to assist with the investigation after Houtzdale Fire Chief Todd Reifer was unable to determine the cause of the fire. Reifer said the building was a complete loss, and there wasn’t any electrical connection. Upon examination of the scene, Stewart determined the fire started on the floor inside the shed/garage and considered multiple natural causes like lightening or spontaneous combustion and accidental causes like careless smoking or mechanical failure. However, he said none of those were possibilities because a lightening strike didn’t occur and the structure neither had utilities or heating. As a result, he ruled the fire was the cause of an intentional act of arson. On Sept. 8, a witness told state police he took Bickle to a dirt road behind a residence on Bucket Line Road. The witness said he remained in the vehicle while Bickle committed another crime – motor vehicle theft. After the all-terrain vehicle was hidden, the witness said he took Bickle back to the scene. Bickle reportedly said he’d find his own way back to Clearfield after he got revenge on his foster mother for sending him to prison. When he spoke with Bickle the next day, Bickle admitted to having taken another ATV and that’s how he got back to Clearfield. He also allegedly said he set the shed/garage on fire to get revenge on his foster parents. Bickle told the witness he located a five-gallon gas container inside, poured gas all through the garage, rolled up a dollar bill, ignited it and tossed it inside the garage. He then jumped on the second stolen ATV and fled the area. https://gantdaily.com/2020/09/15/dubois-man-accused-of-setting-decatur-twp-fire-to-get-revenge-on-foster-parents/

2 LA County Sheriff Deputies Shot In Ambush

This just breaks my heart. I heard there were protesters hanging outside the hospital saying they hoped the officers died of their injuries! Makes me furious! And a black man shot them!
