steelnut
I love daisys of any kind, and I think one of my Gerbers has crown rot! I'm going to try trimming it up and giving it some Miracle Grow. Has anyone else had this problem?
lavender
Could happen with all the rain we've been having. They grew well for me last year in dry soil. They were growing in an area that was basically hardpan with some compost and potting soil dumped over it. Nothing that needs to be deeply rooted will grow there but the Gerbers did just fine. steelnut
Well, I trimmed them up, but I just read that crown rot is fatal! I sure hope not.
Petee
Take the entire plant out of the pot and set it on newspaper for a day. Don't water it again till it lets you know and then water it sparingly. If it hasn't acquired an actual fungus you might be able to save it.

Thanks, Petee, I actually thought of doing that yesterday but I was worried I might do the poor thing in if I did. I'll give it a try.
