Bon
anyone know what kind of toad this is?? Hubby was picking leaves out of the rocks by the sidewalk & picked it up. He put it back when he saw it was a squishy toad!! We have never seen one like this before. He is safe where he can eat as many bugs as he wants!! Petee
Possibly this guy? He's cute! http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/american_toad.htm I already snagged my Mother's Day gift. It's an Alaskan Red Cedar. Found it for a relatively decent price at Bonnie's Gardens in Osceola Mills on Saturday. I'll happily relieve you of the toad too! He can live in my toad house. tlakergirl

Buster99
We had a big one just like that in our yard a couple of years ago. Persistent bugger. He would be down by our fire pit when we were all sitting outside so the SIL would move him to the garden about 30 feet away. Within a half hour, there he was again! Maybe he was cold, but I didn't want him to get squished. He would also sit on our sidewalk and refuse to move even if we nudged him with the toe of a shoe! Tricia
I have not seen a toad or frog in so long in my garden. I did have them a while ago, but I had a lot more rhubarb there for covering.

junk
Tommy the Toad Gordon J.L. Ramel. Tommy the toad is terribly tough and he lives on the hill where the grass is all rough, his skin is a lumpyish brown sort of buff and he speaks in a voice that is creaky and gruff. Petee
Put it in a moist shady area so it doesn't warm up in the daytime. I push mine down into the mulch and we find toads in it.
